ਤੂ ਸੁਣਿ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਪੁਰਬਿ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਹੰਮਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਤੂ ਭਲਾ ॥
tū sun kirat karanmā purab kamāiā . sir sir sukh sahanmā dēh s tū bhalā .
Listen: according to the karma of their past actions, each and every person experiences happiness or sorrow; whatever You give, Lord, is good.
ਪਹਿਲੈ ਪਹਰੈ ਨੈਣ ਸਲੋਨੜੀਏ ਰੈਣਿ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
pahilai paharai nain salōnarīē rain andhiārī rām .
In the first watch of the dark night, O bride of splendored eyes,
ਤਾਰਾ ਚੜਿਆ ਲੰਮਾ ਕਿਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
tārā chariā lanmā kiu nadar nihāliā rām .
The meteor shoots across the sky. How can it be seen with the eyes?
ਭੋਲਾਵੜੈ ਭੁਲੀ ਭੁਲਿ ਭੁਲਿ ਪਛੋਤਾਣੀ ॥
bhōlāvarai bhulī bhul bhul pashōtānī .
Deluded by doubt, misled and confused, the soul-bride later regrets and repents.
ਮੇਰੇ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਲੇ ਹਮ ਲਾਲਨ ਕੇ ਲਾਲੇ ॥
mērē lāl rangīlē ham lālan kē lālē .
O my Dear Beloved, I am the slave of Your slaves.
ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਤੂ ਸਮਝੁ ਅਚੇਤ ਇਆਣਿਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
ē man mēriā tū samajh achēt iāniā rām .
O my ignorant, unconscious mind, reform yourself.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਿਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਿਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
antar pirī piār kiu pir bin jīvīai rām .
My inner being is filled with love for my Beloved Husband Lord. How can I live without Him?
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਪਰਪਰਾ ॥
har har agam agādh aparanpar aparaparā .
The Lord, Har, Har, is Inaccessible, Unfathomable, Infinite, the Farthest of the Far.
ਤੂ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਜਗਦੀਸੁ ਸਭ ਕਰਤਾ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨਾਥੁ ॥
tū jagajīvan jagadīs sabh karatā srisat nāth .
You are the Life of the World, the Lord of the Universe, our Lord and Master, the Creator of all the Universe.
ਨਾਵਣੁ ਪੁਰਬੁ ਅਭੀਚੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਰਸੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
nāvan purab abhīch gur satigur daras bhaiā .

ਘੋਲਿ ਘੁਮਾਈ ਲਾਲਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਮਨੁ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
ghōl ghumāī lālanā gur man dīnā .
O my Beloved, I am a sacrifice to You. Through the Guru, I have dedicated my mind to You.
