ਜਉ ਮੈ ਰੂਪ ਕੀਏ ਬਹੁਤੇਰੇ ਅਬ ਫੁਨਿ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
jau mai rūp kīē bahutērē ab phun rūp n hōī .
In the past, I have taken many forms, but I shall not take form again.
ਤਾਗਾ ਤੰਤੁ ਸਾਜੁ ਸਭੁ ਥਾਕਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਸਿ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥
tāgā tant sāj sabh thākā rām nām bas hōī .1.
The strings and wires of the musical instrument are worn out, and I am in the power of the Lord's Name. ||1||
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਾਚਨੋ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
ab mōh nāchanō n āvai .
Now, I no longer dance to the tune.
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਮੰਦਰੀਆ ਨ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mērā man mandarīā n bajāvai .1. rahāu .
My mind no longer beats the drum. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਲੈ ਜਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਗਾਗਰਿ ਫੂਟੀ ॥
kām krōdh māiā lai jārī trisanā gāgar phūtī .
I have burnt away sexual desire, anger and attachment to Maya, and the pitcher of my desires has burst.
ਕਾਮ ਚੋਲਨਾ ਭਇਆ ਹੈ ਪੁਰਾਨਾ ਗਇਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਸਭੁ ਛੂਟੀ ॥੨॥
kām chōlanā bhaiā hai purānā gaiā bharam sabh shūtī .2.
The gown of sensuous pleasures is worn out, and all my doubts have been dispelled. ||2||
ਸਰਬ ਭੂਤ ਏਕੈ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਚੂਕੇ ਬਾਦ ਬਿਬਾਦਾ ॥
sarab bhūt ēkai kar jāniā chūkē bād bibādā .
I look upon all beings alike, and my conflict and strife are ended.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਮੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਭਏ ਰਾਮ ਪਰਸਾਦਾ ॥੩॥੬॥੨੮॥
kah kabīr mai pūrā pāiā bhaē rām parasādā .3.6.28.
Says Kabeer, when the Lord showed His Favor, I obtained Him, the Perfect One. ||3||6||28||

Aasaa:
ਰੋਜਾ ਧਰੈ ਮਨਾਵੈ ਅਲਹੁ ਸੁਆਦਤਿ ਜੀਅ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ॥
rōjā dharai manāvai alah suādat jī sanghārai .
You keep your fasts to please Allah, while you murder other beings for pleasure.
ਆਪਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਅਵਰ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਖੈ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਝਖ ਮਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
āpā dēkh avar nahī dēkhai kāhē kau jhakh mārai .1.
You look after your own interests, and so not see the interests of others. What good is your word? ||1||
ਕਾਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਏਕੁ ਤੋਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋਚਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ਨ ਦੇਖੈ ॥
kājī sāhib ēk tōhī mah tērā sōch bichār n dēkhai .
O Qazi, the One Lord is within you, but you do not behold Him by thought or contemplation.
ਖਬਰਿ ਨ ਕਰਹਿ ਦੀਨ ਕੇ ਬਉਰੇ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਲੇਖੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
khabar n karah dīn kē baurē tā tē janam alēkhai .1. rahāu .
You do not care for others, you are a religious fanatic, and your life is of no account at all. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਚੁ ਕਤੇਬ ਬਖਾਨੈ ਅਲਹੁ ਨਾਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
sāch katēb bakhānai alah nār purakh nahī kōī .
Your holy scriptures say that Allah is True, and that he is neither male nor female.
ਪਢੇ ਗੁਨੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਬਉਰੇ ਜਉ ਦਿਲ ਮਹਿ ਖਬਰਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥
padhē gunē nāhī kash baurē jau dil mah khabar n hōī .2.
But you gain nothing by reading and studying, O mad-man, if you do not gain the understanding in your heart. ||2||
ਅਲਹੁ ਗੈਬੁ ਸਗਲ ਘਟ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਲੇਹੁ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
alah gaib sagal ghat bhītar hiradai lēh bichārī .
Allah is hidden in every heart; reflect upon this in your mind.
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੁਰਕ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੈ ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰ ਪੁਕਾਰੀ ॥੩॥੭॥੨੯॥
hindū turak duhūn mah ēkai kahai kabīr pukārī .3.7.29.
The One Lord is within both Hindu and Muslim; Kabeer proclaims this out loud. ||3||7||29||
ਆਸਾ ॥ ਤਿਪਦਾ ॥ ਇਕਤੁਕਾ ॥
āsā . tipadā . ikatukā .
Aasaa, Ti-Pada, Ik-Tuka:
ਕੀਓ ਸਿੰਗਾਰੁ ਮਿਲਨ ਕੇ ਤਾਈ ॥
kīō singār milan kē tāī .
I have decorated myself to meet my Husband Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੧॥
har n milē jagajīvan gusāī .1.
But the Lord, the Life of the Word, the Sustainer of the Universe, has not come to meet me. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਹੁਰੀਆ ॥
har mērō pir hau har kī bahurīā .
The Lord is my Husband, and I am the Lord's bride.
ਰਾਮ ਬਡੇ ਮੈ ਤਨਕ ਲਹੁਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rām badē mai tanak lahurīā .1. rahāu .
The Lord is so great, and I am infinitesimally small. ||1||Pause||
ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਏਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥
dhan pir ēkai sang basērā .
The bride and the Groom dwell together.
ਸੇਜ ਏਕ ਪੈ ਮਿਲਨੁ ਦੁਹੇਰਾ ॥੨॥
sēj ēk pai milan duhērā .2.
They lie upon the one bed, but their union is difficult. ||2||
ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਜੋ ਪੀਅ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
dhann suhāgan jō pī bhāvai .
Blessed is the soul-bride, who is pleasing to her Husband Lord.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਫਿਰਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੩॥੮॥੩੦॥
kah kabīr phir janam n āvai .3.8.30.
Says Kabeer, she shall not have to be reincarnated again. ||3||8||30||
ਆਸਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕੇ ਦੁਪਦੇ

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਹੀਰੈ ਹੀਰਾ ਬੇਧਿ ਪਵਨ ਮਨੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
hīrai hīrā bēdh pavan man sahajē rahiā samāī .
When the Diamond of the Lord pierces the diamond of my mind, the fickle mind waving in the wind is easily absorbed into Him.
ਸਗਲ ਜੋਤਿ ਇਨਿ ਹੀਰੈ ਬੇਧੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਮੈ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
sagal jōt in hīrai bēdhī satigur bachanī mai pāī .1.
This Diamond fills all with Divine Light; through the True Guru's Teachings, I have found Him. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਅਨਾਹਦ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
har kī kathā anāhad bānī .
The sermon of the Lord is the unstruck, endless song.
ਹੰਸੁ ਹੁਇ ਹੀਰਾ ਲੇਇ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hans hui hīrā lēi pashānī .1. rahāu .
Becoming a swan, one recognizes the Diamond of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਹੀਰਾ ਅਸ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਜਗ ਮਹ ਰਹਾ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
kah kabīr hīrā as dēkhiō jag mah rahā samāī .
Says Kabeer, I have seen such a Diamond, permeating and pervading the world.
ਗੁਪਤਾ ਹੀਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਇਓ ਜਬ ਗੁਰ ਗਮ ਦੀਆ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੧॥
gupatā hīrā pragat bhaiō jab gur gam dīā dikhāī .2.1.31.
The hidden diamond became visible, when the Guru revealed it to me. ||2||1||31||

ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਰੂਪਿ ਕੁਜਾਤਿ ਕੁਲਖਨੀ ਸਾਹੁਰੈ ਪੇਈਐ ਬੁਰੀ ॥
pahilī karūp kujāt kulakhanī sāhurai pēīai burī .
My first wife, ignorance, was ugly, of low social status and bad character; she was evil in my home, and in her parents' home.
ਅਬ ਕੀ ਸਰੂਪਿ ਸੁਜਾਨਿ ਸੁਲਖਨੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਉਦਰਿ ਧਰੀ ॥੧॥
ab kī sarūp sujān sulakhanī sahajē udar dharī .1.
My present bride, divine understanding, is beautiful, wise and well-behaved; I have taken her to my heart. ||1||
ਭਲੀ ਸਰੀ ਮੁਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਬਰੀ ॥
bhalī sarī muī mērī pahilī barī .
It has turned out so well, that my first wife has died.
ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੀਵਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਬ ਕੀ ਧਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jug jug jīvau mērī ab kī dharī .1. rahāu .
May she, whom I have now married, live throughout the ages. ||1||Pause||
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਬ ਲਹੁਰੀ ਆਈ ਬਡੀ ਕਾ ਸੁਹਾਗੁ ਟਰਿਓ ॥
kah kabīr jab lahurī āī badī kā suhāg tariō .
Says Kabeer, when the younger bride came, the elder one lost her husband.
ਲਹੁਰੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਈ ਅਬ ਮੇਰੈ ਜੇਠੀ ਅਉਰੁ ਧਰਿਓ ॥੨॥੨॥੩੨॥
lahurī sang bhaī ab mērai jēthī aur dhariō .2.2.32.
The younger bride is with me now, and the elder one has taken another husband. ||2||2||32||
