ਅਨਿਕ ਭਗਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਜਨ ਤਾਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਮੁਨੀ ॥
anik bhagat anik jan tārē simarah anik munī .
You have saved so many devotees, so many humble servants; so many silent sages contemplate You.
ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਟਿਕ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਗੁਨੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੨੭॥
andhulē tik niradhan dhan pāiō prabh nānak anik gunī .2.2.127.
The support of the blind, the wealth of the poor; Nanak has found God, of endless virtues. ||2||2||127||

ਮੋਹਨ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਾਵੈ ਹਾਰ ਕਜਰ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਭਰਨ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
mōhan nīd n āvai hāvai hār kajar basatr abharan kīnē .
O Enticing Lord, I cannot sleep; I sigh. I am adorned with necklaces, gowns, ornaments and make-up.
ਉਡੀਨੀ ਉਡੀਨੀ ਉਡੀਨੀ ॥
udīnī udīnī udīnī .
I am sad, sad and depressed.
ਕਬ ਘਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kab ghar āvai rī .1. rahāu .
When will You come home? ||1||Pause||
ਸਰਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਚਰਨ ਸੀਸੁ ਧਰਿ ॥
saran suhāgan charan sīs dhar .
I seek the Sanctuary of the happy soul-brides; I place my head upon their feet.
ਲਾਲਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ॥
lālan mōh milāvah .
Unite me with my Beloved.
ਕਬ ਘਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਰੀ ॥੧॥
kab ghar āvai rī .1.
When will He come to my home? ||1||
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸਹੇਰੀ ਮਿਲਨ ਬਾਤ ਕਹਉ ਸਗਰੋ ਅਹੰ ਮਿਟਾਵਹੁ ਤਉ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਲਾਲਨੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥
sunah sahērī milan bāt kahau sagarō ahan mitāvah tau ghar hī lālan pāvah .
Listen, my companions: tell me how to meet Him. Eradicate all egotism, and then you shall find your Beloved Lord within the home of your heart.
ਤਬ ਰਸ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹੁ ॥
tab ras mangal gun gāvah .
Then, in delight, you shall sing the songs of joy and praise.
ਆਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥
ānad rūp dhiāvah .
Meditate on the Lord, the embodiment of bliss.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ॥
nānak duārai āiō .
O Nanak, I came to the Lord's Door,
ਤਉ ਮੈ ਲਾਲਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਰੀ ॥੨॥
tau mai lālan pāiō rī .2.
and then, I found my Beloved. ||2||
ਮੋਹਨ ਰੂਪੁ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ॥
mōhan rūp dikhāvai .
The Enticing Lord has revealed His form to me,
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਨੀਦ ਸੁਹਾਵੈ ॥
ab mōh nīd suhāvai .
and now, sleep seems sweet to me.
ਸਭ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਿਖਾ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ॥
sabh mērī tikhā bujhānī .
My thirst is totally quenched,
ਅਬ ਮੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥
ab mai sahaj samānī .
and now, I am absorbed in celestial bliss.
ਮੀਠੀ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥
mīthī pirah kahānī .
How sweet is the story of my Husband Lord.
ਮੋਹਨੁ ਲਾਲਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਰੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੧੨੮॥
mōhan lālan pāiō rī . rahāu dūjā .1.128.
I have found my Beloved, Enticing Lord. ||Second Pause||1||128||
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
bilāval mahalā 5 .
Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਮੋਰੀ ਅਹੰ ਜਾਇ ਦਰਸਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥
mōrī ahan jāi darasan pāvat hē .
My ego is gone; I have obtained the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
ਰਾਚਹੁ ਨਾਥ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੰਤਨਾ ॥
rāchah nāth hī sahāī santanā .
I am absorbed in my Lord and Master, the help and support of the Saints.
ਅਬ ਚਰਨ ਗਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ab charan gahē .1. rahāu .
Now, I hold tight to His Feet. ||1||Pause||
ਆਹੇ ਮਨ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ਚਰਨਾਵੈ ਚਰਨਾਵੈ ਉਲਝਿਓ ਅਲਿ ਮਕਰੰਦ ਕਮਲ ਜਿਉ ॥
āhē man avar n bhāvai charanāvai charanāvai ulajhiō al makarand kamal jiu .
My mind longs for Him, and does not love any other. I am totally absorbed, in love with His Lotus Feet, like the bumble bee attached to the honey of the lotus flower.
ਅਨ ਰਸ ਨਹੀ ਚਾਹੈ ਏਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹੈ ॥੧॥
an ras nahī chāhai ēkai har lāhai .1.
I do not desire any other taste; I seek only the One Lord. ||1||
ਅਨ ਤੇ ਟੂਟੀਐ ਰਿਖ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੀਐ ॥
an tē tūtīai rikh tē shūtīai .
I have broken away from the others, and I have been released from the Messenger of Death.
ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਘੂਟੀਐ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਉਲਟੀਐ ॥
man har ras ghūtīai sang sādhū ulatīai .
O mind, drink in the subtle essence of the Lord; join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and turn away from the world.
ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਰੇ ॥
an nāhī nāhī rē .
There is no other, none other than the Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਰਨ ਚਰਨ ਹੇ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੨੯॥
nānak prīt charan charan hē .2.2.129.
O Nanak, love the Feet, the Feet of the Lord. ||2||2||129||

dukh haratā har nām pashānō .
The Name of the Lord is the Dispeller of sorrow - realize this.
ਅਜਾਮਲੁ ਗਨਿਕਾ ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਮੁਕਤ ਭਏ ਜੀਅ ਜਾਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ajāmal ganikā jih simarat mukat bhaē jī jānō .1. rahāu .
Remembering Him in meditation, even Ajaamal the robber and Ganikaa the prostitute were liberated; let your soul know this. ||1||Pause||
ਗਜ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟੀ ਛਿਨਹੂ ਮਹਿ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਬਖਾਨੋ ॥
gaj kī trās mitī shinahū mah jab hī rām bakhānō .
The elephant's fear was taken away in an instant, as soon as he chanted the Lord's Name.
ਨਾਰਦ ਕਹਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਧ੍ਰੂਅ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਭਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਨੋ ॥੧॥
nārad kahat sunat dhrū bārik bhajan māh lapatānō .1.
Listening to Naarad's teachings, the child Dhroo was absorbed in deep meditation. ||1||
ਅਚਲ ਅਮਰ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਜਗਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਹੈਰਾਨੋ ॥
achal amar nirabhai pad pāiō jagat jāh hairānō .
He obtained the immovable, eternal state of fearlessness, and all the world was amazed.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਤ ਭਗਤ ਰਛਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਨੋ ॥੨॥੧॥
nānak kahat bhagat rashak har nikat tāh tum mānō .2.1.
Says Nanak, the Lord is the Saving Grace and the Protector of His devotees; believe it - He is close to you. ||2||1||
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥
bilāval mahalā 9 .
Bilaaval, Ninth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
har kē nām binā dukh pāvai .
Without the Name of the Lord, you shall only find pain.
ਭਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਨਹ ਚੂਕੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਇਹੁ ਭੇਦੁ ਬਤਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhagat binā sahasā nah chūkai gur ih bhēd batāvai .1. rahāu .
Without devotional worship, doubt is not dispelled; the Guru has revealed this secret. ||1||Pause||
ਕਹਾ ਭਇਓ ਤੀਰਥ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਕੀਏ ਰਾਮ ਸਰਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥
kahā bhaiō tīrath brat kīē rām saran nahī āvai .
Of what use are sacred shrines of pilgrimage, if one does not enter the Sanctuary of the Lord?
