ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਰਵੰਨਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hau tin kai balihāranai man har gun sadā ravann .1. rahāu .
I am a sacrifice to those who chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord in their minds forever. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਮਾਨ ਸਰੋਵਰੁ ਹੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਲਹੰਨ੍ਹਿ ॥
gur saravar mān sarōvar hai vadabhāgī purakh lahannh .
The Guru is like the Mansarovar Lake; only the very fortunate beings find Him.
ਸੇਵਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਸੇ ਹੰਸੁਲੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਹੰਨਿ ॥੨॥
sēvak guramukh khōjiā sē hansulē nām lahann .2.
The Gurmukhs, the selfless servants, seek out the Guru; the swan-souls feed there on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਨ੍ਹਿ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗੰਨ੍ਹਿ ॥
nām dhiāinh rang siu guramukh nām lagannh .
The Gurmukhs meditate on the Naam, and remain linked to the Naam.
ਧੁਰਿ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਲਏਨ੍ਹਿ ॥੩॥
dhur pūrab hōvai likhiā gur bhānā mann laēnh .3.
Whatever is pre-ordained, accept it as the Will of the Guru. ||3||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਘਰੁ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
vadabhāgī ghar khōjiā pāiā nām nidhān .
By great good fortune, I searched my home, and found the treasure of the Naam.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੁ ॥੪॥
gur pūrai vēkhāliā prabh ātam rām pashān .4.
The Perfect Guru has shown God to me; I have realized the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||4||
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabhanā kā prabh ēk hai dūjā avar n kōi .
There is One God of all; there is no other at all.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫॥
gur parasādī man vasai tit ghat paragat hōi .5.
By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind; in the heart of such a one, He is revealed. ||5||
ਸਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਸਭ ਥਾਇ ॥
sabh antarajāmī braham hai braham vasai sabh thāi .
God is the Inner-knower of all hearts; God dwells in every place.
ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੬॥
mandā kis nō ākhīai sabad vēkhah liv lāi .6.
So who should we call evil? Behold the Word of the Shabad, and lovingly dwell upon it. ||6||
ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਆਖਦਾ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਹੁ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
burā bhalā tichar ākhadā jichar hai duh māh .
He calls others bad and good, as long as he is in duality.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਏਕਸੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥
guramukh ēkō bujhiā ēkas māh samāi .7.
The Gurmukh understands the One and Only Lord; He is absorbed in the One Lord. ||7||
ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਏ ਥਾਇ ॥
sēvā sā prabh bhāvasī jō prabh pāē thāi .
That is selfless service, which pleases God, and which is approved by God.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥੪॥੯॥
jan nānak har ārādhiā gur charanī chit lāi .8.2.4.9.
Servant Nanak worships the Lord in adoration; he focuses his consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||8||2||4||9||

ਕੋਈ ਆਣਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਆਪੁ ਵੇਚਾਈ ॥੧॥
kōī ān milāvai mērā prītam piārā hau tis pah āp vēchāī .1.
If only someone would come, and lead me to meet my Darling Beloved; I would sell myself to him. ||1||
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਖਣ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
darasan har dēkhan kai tāī .
I long for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kripā karah tā satigur mēlah har har nām dhiāī .1. rahāu .
When the Lord shows Mercy unto me, then I meet the True Guru; I meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਤ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਅਰਾਧੀ ਦੁਖਿ ਭੀ ਤੁਝੈ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੨॥
jē sukh dēh t tujhah arādhī dukh bhī tujhai dhiāī .2.
If You will bless me with happiness, then I will worship and adore You. Even in pain, I will meditate on You. ||2||
ਜੇ ਭੁਖ ਦੇਹਿ ਤ ਇਤ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੁਖ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੂਖ ਮਨਾਈ ॥੩॥
jē bhukh dēh t it hī rājā dukh vich sūkh manāī .3.
Even if You give me hunger, I will still feel satisfied; I am joyful, even in the midst of sorrow. ||3||
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਸਭੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਅਗਨੀ ਆਪੁ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੪॥
tan man kāt kāt sabh arapī vich aganī āp jalāī .4.
I would cut my mind and body apart into pieces, and offer them all to You; I would burn myself in fire. ||4||
ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਢੋਵਾ ਜੋ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਖਾਈ ॥੫॥
pakhā phērī pānī dhōvā jō dēvah sō khāī .5.
I wave the fan over You, and carry water for You; whatever You give me, I take. ||5||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਢਹਿ ਪਇਆ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੬॥
nānak garīb dhah paiā duārai har mēl laih vadiāī .6.
Poor Nanak has fallen at the Lord's Door; please, O Lord, unite me with Yourself, by Your Glorious Greatness. ||6||
ਅਖੀ ਕਾਢਿ ਧਰੀ ਚਰਣਾ ਤਲਿ ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਤ ਪਾਈ ॥੭॥
akhī kādh dharī charanā tal sabh dharatī phir mat pāī .7.
Taking out my eyes, I place them at Your Feet; after travelling over the entire earth, I have come to understand this. ||7||
ਜੇ ਪਾਸਿ ਬਹਾਲਹਿ ਤਾ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਅਰਾਧੀ ਜੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਢਹਿ ਭੀ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੮॥
jē pās bahālah tā tujhah arādhī jē mār kadhah bhī dhiāī .8.
If You seat me near You, then I worship and adore You. Even if You beat me and drive me out, I will still meditate on You. ||8||
ਜੇ ਲੋਕੁ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਤਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਜੇ ਨਿੰਦੈ ਤ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੯॥
jē lōk salāhē tā tērī upamā jē nindai t shōd n jāī .9.
If people praise me, the praise is Yours. Even if they slander me, I will not leave You. ||9||
ਜੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਹੁ ਆਖਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਿਸਰਿਐ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
jē tudh val rahai tā kōī kih ākhau tudh visariai mar jāī .10.
If You are on my side, then anyone can say anything. But if I were to forget You, then I would die. ||10||
ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਪੈ ਪੈਰੀ ਸੰਤ ਮਨਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
vār vār jāī gur ūpar pai pairī sant manāī .11.
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to my Guru; falling at His Feet, I surrender to the Saintly Guru. ||11||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਭਇਆ ਦਿਵਾਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਤਉ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
nānak vichārā bhaiā divānā har tau darasan kai tāī .12.
Poor Nanak has gone insane, longing for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||12||
ਝਖੜੁ ਝਾਗੀ ਮੀਹੁ ਵਰਸੈ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਣ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
jhakhar jhāgī mīh varasai bhī gur dēkhan jāī .13.
Even in violent storms and torrential rain, I go out to catch a glimpse of my Guru. ||13||
ਸਮੁੰਦੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਬਹੁ ਖਾਰਾ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੁ ਲੰਘਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
samund sāgar hōvai bah khārā gurasikh langh gur pah jāī .14.
Even though the oceans and the salty seas are very vast, the GurSikh will cross over it to get to his Guru. ||14||
ਜਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੈ ਮਰਤਾ ਤਿਉ ਸਿਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੫॥
jiu prānī jal bin hai maratā tiu sikh gur bin mar jāī .15.
Just as the mortal dies without water, so does the Sikh die without the Guru. ||15||
