ਜੋ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਸੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥
jō gurasikh gur sēvadē sē punn parānī .
Those Sikhs of the Guru, who serve the Guru, are the most blessed beings.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੧੦॥
jan nānak tin kau vāriā sadā sadā kurabānī .10.
Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to them; He is forever and ever a sacrifice. ||10||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ਸੇ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈਆ ॥
guramukh sakhī sahēlīā sē āp har bhāīā .
The Lord Himself is pleased with the Gurmukhs, the fellowship of the companions.
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਨਾਈਆ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੧॥
har daragah paināīā har āp gal lāīā .11.
In the Lord's Court, they are given robes of honor, and the Lord Himself hugs them close in His embrace. ||11||
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
jō guramukh nām dhiāidē tin darasan dījai .
Please bless me with the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of those Gurmukhs, who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਮ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਪਖਾਲਦੇ ਧੂੜਿ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੋਲਿ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧੨॥
ham tin kē charan pakhāladē dhūr ghōl ghōl pījai .12.
I wash their feet, and drink in the dust of their feet, dissolved in the wash water. ||12||
ਪਾਨ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਖਾਤੀਆ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੀੜੀਆ ਲਾਈਆ ॥
pān supārī khātīā mukh bīrīā lāīā .
Those who eat betel nuts and betel leaf and apply lipstick,
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਜਮਿ ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੩॥
har har kadē n chētiō jam pakar chalāīā .13.
but do not contemplate the Lord, Har, Har - the Messenger of Death will seize them and take them away. ||13||
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧੪॥
jin har nāmā har chētiā hiradai ur dhārē . tin jam nēr n āvaī gurasikh gur piārē .14.
The Messenger of Death does not even approach those who contemplate the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and keep Him enshrined in their hearts. The Guru's Sikhs are the Guru's Beloveds. ||14||
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
har kā nām nidhān hai kōī guramukh jānai .
The Name of the Lord is a treasure, known only to the few Gurmukhs.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ ॥੧੫॥
nānak jin satigur bhētiā rang ralīā mānai .15.
O Nanak, those who meet with the True Guru, enjoy peace and pleasure. ||15||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਤੁਸਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਸਾਓ ॥
satigur dātā ākhīai tus karē pasāō .
The True Guru is called the Giver; in His Mercy, He grants His Grace.
ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਿਤੜਾ ਨਾਓ ॥੧੬॥
hau gur vitah sad vāriā jin ditarā nāō .16.
I am forever a sacrifice to the Guru, who has blessed me with the Lord's Name. ||16||
ਸੋ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਇ ਸਨੇਹਾ ॥
sō dhann gurū sābās hai har dēi sanēhā .
Blessed, very blessed is the Guru, who brings the Lord's message.
ਹਉ ਵੇਖਿ ਵੇਖਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਗਸਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇਹਾ ॥੧੭॥
hau vēkh vēkh gurū vigasiā gur satigur dēhā .17.
I gaze upon the Guru, the Guru, the True Guru embodied, and I blossom forth in bliss. ||17||
ਗੁਰ ਰਸਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ॥
gur rasanā anmrit bōladī har nām suhāvī .
The Guru's tongue recites Words of Ambrosial Nectar; He is adorned with the Lord's Name.
ਜਿਨ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਿਖਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਜਾਵੀ ॥੧੮॥
jin sun sikhā gur manniā tinā bhukh sabh jāvī .18.
Those Sikhs who hear and obey the Guru - all their desires depart. ||18||
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
har kā mārag ākhīai kah kit bidh jāīai .
Some speak of the Lord's Path; tell me, how can I walk on it?
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੧੯॥
har har tērā nām hai har kharach lai jāīai .19.
O Lord, Har, Har, Your Name is my supplies; I will take it with me and set out. ||19||
ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਸੇ ਸਾਹ ਵਡ ਦਾਣੇ ॥
jin guramukh har ārādhiā sē sāh vad dānē .
Those Gurmukhs who worship and adore the Lord, are wealthy and very wise.
ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥੨੦॥
hau satigur kau sad vāriā gur bachan samānē .20.
I am forever a sacrifice to the True Guru; I am absorbed in the Words of the Guru's Teachings. ||20||
ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੋ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੀਰਾ ॥
tū thākur tū sāhibō tūhai mērā mīrā .
You are the Master, my Lord and Master; You are my Ruler and King.
ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਤੂ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੨੧॥
tudh bhāvai tērī bandagī tū gunī gahīrā .21.
If it is pleasing to Your Will, then I worship and serve You; You are the treasure of virtue. ||21||
ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ॥
āpē har ik rang hai āpē bah rangī .
The Lord Himself is absolute; He is The One and Only; but He Himself is also manifested in many forms.
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਾਈ ਗਲ ਚੰਗੀ ॥੨੨॥੨॥
jō tis bhāvai nānakā sāī gal changī .22.2.
Whatever pleases Him, O Nanak, that alone is good. ||22||2||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār satigur prasād .
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਚੇਤਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਉ ਚੇਤ ਲੈ ਨਿਸਿ ਦਿਨਿ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ॥
chētanā hai tau chēt lai nis din mai prānī .
If you are conscious, then be conscious of Him night and day, O mortal.
ਛਿਨੁ ਛਿਨੁ ਅਉਧ ਬਿਹਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਫੂਟੈ ਘਟ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
shin shin audh bihāt hai phūtai ghat jiu pānī .1. rahāu .
Each and every moment, your life is passing away, like water from a cracked pitcher. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਕਾਹਿ ਨ ਗਾਵਹੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਗਿਆਨਾ ॥
har gun kāh n gāvahī mūrakh agiānā .
Why do you not sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, you ignorant fool?
ਝੂਠੈ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਕੈ ਨਹਿ ਮਰਨੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
jhūthai lālach lāg kai nah maran pashānā .1.
You are attached to false greed, and you do not even consider death. ||1||
ਅਜਹੂ ਕਛੁ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
ajahū kash bigariō nahī jō prabh gun gāvai .
Even now, no harm has been done, if you will only sing God's Praises.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਹ ਭਜਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
kah nānak tih bhajan tē nirabhai pad pāvai .2.1.
Says Nanak, by meditating and vibrating upon Him, you shall obtain the state of fearlessness. ||2||1||
ਤਿਲੰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥
tilang mahalā 9 .
Tilang, Ninth Mehl:
ਜਾਗ ਲੇਹੁ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਜਾਗ ਲੇਹੁ ਕਹਾ ਗਾਫਲ ਸੋਇਆ ॥
jāg lēh rē manā jāg lēh kahā gāphal sōiā .
Wake up, O mind! Wake up! Why are you sleeping unaware?
ਜੋ ਤਨੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਸੰਗ ਹੀ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jō tan upajiā sang hī sō bhī sang n hōiā .1. rahāu .
That body, which you were born with, shall not go along with you in the end. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧ ਜਨ ਹਿਤੁ ਜਾ ਸਿਉ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
māt pitā sut bandh jan hit jā siu kīnā .
Mother, father, children and relatives whom you love,
ਜੀਉ ਛੂਟਿਓ ਜਬ ਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਡਾਰਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਮੈ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
jīu shūtiō jab dēh tē dār agan mai dīnā .1.
will throw your body into the fire, when your soul departs from it. ||1||
