ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਇਓ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਤਾ ਖੜਿ ਰਸਾਤਲਿ ਦੀਤ ॥੭॥
chit n āiō pārabraham tā khar rasātal dīt .7.
But still, if you do not come to remember the Supreme Lord God, then you shall be taken and consigned to the most hideous hell! ||7||
ਕਾਇਆ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਛਿਦ੍ਰੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਾੜਾ ਸੋਗੁ ॥
kāiā rōg n shidr kish nā kish kārā sōg .
You may have a body free of disease and deformity, and have no worries or grief at all;
ਮਿਰਤੁ ਨ ਆਵੀ ਚਿਤਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਭੋਗੈ ਭੋਗੁ ॥
mirat n āvī chit tis ahinis bhōgai bhōg .
you may be unmindful of death, and night and day revel in pleasures;
ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਤੋਨੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਇ ਨ ਸੰਕ ਧਰਿਆ ॥
sabh kish kītōn āpanā jīi n sank dhariā .
you may take everything as your own, and have no fear in your mind at all;
ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਇਓ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਮਕੰਕਰ ਵਸਿ ਪਰਿਆ ॥੮॥
chit n āiō pārabraham jamakankar vas pariā .8.
but still, if you do not come to remember the Supreme Lord God, you shall fall under the power of the Messenger of Death. ||8||
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ॥
kirapā karē jis pārabraham hōvai sādhū sang .
The Supreme Lord showers His Mercy, and we find the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਓਹੁ ਵਧਾਈਐ ਤਿਉ ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ॥
jiu jiu ōh vadhāīai tiu tiu har siu rang .
The more time we spend there, the more we come to love the Lord.
ਦੁਹਾ ਸਿਰਿਆ ਕਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਆਪਿ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਥਾਉ ॥
duhā siriā kā khasam āp avar n dūjā thāu .
The Lord is the Master of both worlds; there is no other place of rest.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੁਠੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੯॥੧॥੨੬॥
satigur tuthai pāiā nānak sachā nāu .9.1.26.
When the True Guru is pleased and satisfied, O Nanak, the True Name is obtained. ||9||1||26||
ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੫ ॥
sirīrāg mahalā 5 ghar 5 .
Siree Raag, Fifth Mehl, Fifth House:
ਜਾਨਉ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਵੈ ਕਵਨ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
jānau nahī bhāvai kavan bātā .
I do not know what pleases my Lord.
ਮਨ ਖੋਜਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man khōj mārag .1. rahāu .
O mind, seek out the way! ||1||Pause||
ਧਿਆਨੀ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਲਾਵਹਿ ॥
dhiānī dhiān lāvah .
The meditatives practice meditation,
ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ॥
giānī giān kamāvah .
and the wise practice spiritual wisdom,
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਨ ਹੀ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
prabh kin hī jātā .1.
but how rare are those who know God! ||1||
ਭਗਉਤੀ ਰਹਤ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥
bhagautī rahat jugatā .
The worshipper of Bhagaauti practices self-discipline,
ਜੋਗੀ ਕਹਤ ਮੁਕਤਾ ॥
jōgī kahat mukatā .
the Yogi speaks of liberation,
ਤਪਸੀ ਤਪਹਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੨॥
tapasī tapah rātā .2.
and the ascetic is absorbed in asceticism. ||2||
ਮੋਨੀ ਮੋਨਿਧਾਰੀ ॥
mōnī mōnidhārī .
The men of silence observe silence,
ਸਨਿਆਸੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ ॥
saniāsī brahamachārī .
the Sanyaasees observe celibacy,
ਉਦਾਸੀ ਉਦਾਸਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
udāsī udās rātā .3.
and the Udaasees abide in detachment. ||3||
ਭਗਤਿ ਨਵੈ ਪਰਕਾਰਾ ॥
bhagat navai parakārā .
There are nine forms of devotional worship.
ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਵੇਦੁ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ॥
pandit vēd pukārā .
The Pandits recite the Vedas.
ਗਿਰਸਤੀ ਗਿਰਸਤਿ ਧਰਮਾਤਾ ॥੪॥
girasatī girasat dharamātā .4.
The householders assert their faith in family life. ||4||
ਇਕ ਸਬਦੀ ਬਹੁ ਰੂਪਿ ਅਵਧੂਤਾ ॥
ik sabadī bah rūp avadhūtā .
Those who utter only One Word, those who take many forms, the naked renunciates,
ਕਾਪੜੀ ਕਉਤੇ ਜਾਗੂਤਾ ॥
kāparī kautē jāgūtā .
the wearers of patched coats, the magicians, those who remain always awake,
ਇਕਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਤਾ ॥੫॥
ik tīrath nātā .5.
and those who bathe at holy places of pilgrimage-||5||
ਨਿਰਹਾਰ ਵਰਤੀ ਆਪਰਸਾ ॥
nirahār varatī āparasā .
Those who go without food, those who never touch others,
ਇਕਿ ਲੂਕਿ ਨ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਦਰਸਾ ॥
ik lūk n dēvah darasā .
the hermits who never show themselves,
ਇਕਿ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਗਿਆਤਾ ॥੬॥
ik man hī giātā .6.
and those who are wise in their own minds-||6||
ਘਾਟਿ ਨ ਕਿਨ ਹੀ ਕਹਾਇਆ ॥
ghāt n kin hī kahāiā .
Of these, no one admits to any deficiency;
ਸਭ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
sabh kahatē hai pāiā .
all say that they have found the Lord.
ਜਿਸੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਸੋ ਭਗਤਾ ॥੭॥
jis mēlē sō bhagatā .7.
But he alone is a devotee, whom the Lord has united with Himself. ||7||
ਸਗਲ ਉਕਤਿ ਉਪਾਵਾ ॥ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਾਵਾ ॥
sagal ukat upāvā . tiāgī saran pāvā .
Abandoning all devices and contrivances, I have sought His Sanctuary.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣਿ ਪਰਾਤਾ ॥੮॥੨॥੨੭॥
nānak gur charan parātā .8.2.27.
Nanak has fallen at the Feet of the Guru. ||8||2||27||
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār satigur prasād .

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੩ ॥

Siree Raag, First Mehl, Third House:
ਜੋਗੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜੋਗੀਆ ॥
jōgī andar jōgīā .
Among Yogis, You are the Yogi;
ਤੂੰ ਭੋਗੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਭੋਗੀਆ ॥
tūn bhōgī andar bhōgīā .
among pleasure seekers, You are the Pleasure Seeker.
ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਰਗਿ ਮਛਿ ਪਇਆਲਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
tērā ant n pāiā surag mash paiāl jīu .1.
Your limits are not known to any of the beings in the heavens, in this world, or in the nether regions of the underworld. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਹਉ ਵਾਰਣੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਵ ਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hau vārī hau vāranai kurabān tērē nāv nō .1. rahāu .
I am devoted, dedicated, a sacrifice to Your Name. ||1||Pause||
ਤੁਧੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
tudh sansār upāiā .
You created the world,
ਸਿਰੇ ਸਿਰਿ ਧੰਧੇ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
sirē sir dhandhē lāiā .
and assigned tasks to one and all.
ਵੇਖਹਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਪਾਸਾ ਢਾਲਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
vēkhah kītā āpanā kar kudarat pāsā dhāl jīu .2.
You watch over Your Creation, and through Your All-powerful Creative Potency, You cast the dice. ||2||
ਪਰਗਟਿ ਪਾਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਪਦਾ ॥
paragat pāhārai jāpadā .
You are manifest in the Expanse of Your Workshop.
ਸਭੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਨੋ ਪਰਤਾਪਦਾ ॥
sabh nāvai nō paratāpadā .
Everyone longs for Your Name,
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਭ ਮੋਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
satigur bājh n pāiō sabh mōhī māiā jāl jīu .3.
but without the Guru, no one finds You. All are enticed and trapped by Maya. ||3||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
satigur kau bal jāīai .
I am a sacrifice to the True Guru.
ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
jit miliai param gat pāīai .
Meeting Him, the supreme status is obtained.
