ਜਿਨੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
jinī darasan jinī darasan satigur purakh n pāiā rām .
Those who have not obtained the Blessed Vision, the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of the True Guru, the Almighty Lord God,
ਤਿਨ ਨਿਹਫਲੁ ਤਿਨ ਨਿਹਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
tin nihaphal tin nihaphal janam sabh brithā gavāiā rām .
they have fruitlessly, fruitlessly wasted their whole lives in vain.
ਨਿਹਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਿਨ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਸਾਕਤ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਝੂਰੇ ॥
nihaphal janam tin brithā gavāiā tē sākat muē mar jhūrē .
They have wasted away their whole lives in vain; those faithless cynics die a regretful death.
ਘਰਿ ਹੋਦੈ ਰਤਨਿ ਪਦਾਰਥਿ ਭੂਖੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰੇ ॥
ghar hōdai ratan padārath bhūkhē bhāgahīn har dūrē .
They have the jewel-treasure in their own homes, but still, they are hungry; those unlucky wretches are far away from the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਨ ਕਰੀਅਹੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
har har tin kā daras n karīah jinī har har nām n dhiāiā .
O Lord, please, let me not see those who do not meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har,
ਜਿਨੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

ਹਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਹਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਦੀਨ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸਿ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
ham chātrik ham chātrik dīn har pās bēnantī rām .
I am a song-bird, I am a meek song-bird; I offer my prayer to the Lord.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਰ ਮੇਲਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਰਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur mil gur mēl mērā piārā ham satigur karah bhagatī rām .
If only I could meet the Guru, meet the Guru, O my Beloved; I dedicate myself to the devotional worship of the True Guru.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਰਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
har har satigur karah bhagatī jānh har prabh kirapā dhārē .
I worship the Lord, Har, Har, and the True Guru; the Lord God has granted His Grace.
ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਲੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹਮ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥
mai gur bin avar n kōī bēlī gur satigur prān hamhārē .
Without the Guru, I have no other friend. The Guru, the True Guru, is my very breath of life.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਤੀ ॥
kah nānak gur nām drirhāiā har har nām har satī .
Says Nanak, the Guru has implanted the Naam within me; the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the True Name.
ਹਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਹਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਦੀਨ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸਿ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ॥੪॥੩॥

ਹਮ ਪੂਛਹ ਹਮ ਪੂਛਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
ham pūshah ham pūshah satigur pās har bātā rām .
I go and ask, I go and ask from the True Guru, about the sermon of the Lord.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਤ ਪੂਛਹ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
satigur pās har bāt pūshah jin nām padārath pāiā .
I ask about the sermon of the Lord from the True Guru, who has obtained the treasure of the Naam.
ਪਾਇ ਲਗਹ ਨਿਤ ਕਰਹ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੰਥੁ ਬਤਾਇਆ ॥
pāi lagah nit karah binantī gur satigur panth batāiā .
I bow at His Feet constantly, and pray to Him; the Guru, the True Guru, has shown me the Way.
ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਮਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
sōī bhagat dukh sukh samat kar jānai har har nām har rātā .
He alone is a devotee, who looks alike upon pleasure and pain; he is imbued with the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥੧॥

O Lord, show Your Mercy, show Your Mercy, and let me meet the True Guru, the Giver of peace. ||1||
ਸੁਣਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਹੰਉਮੈ ਪਾਪਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
sun guramukh sun guramukh nām sabh binasē hanumai pāpā rām .
Listen as Gurmukh, listen as Gurmukh, to the Naam, the Name of the Lord; all egotism and sins are eradicated.
ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਥਿਅੜੇ ਜਗਿ ਤਾਪਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
jap har har jap har har nām lathiarē jag tāpā rām .
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the troubles of the world vanish.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਪ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
har har nām jinī ārādhiā tin kē dukh pāp nivārē .
Those who contemplate the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, are rid of their suffering and sins.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਗਿਆਨ ਖੜਗੁ ਹਥਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਜਮਕੰਕਰ ਮਾਰਿ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
satigur giān kharag hath dīnā jamakankar mār bidārē .
The True Guru has placed the sword of spiritual wisdom in my hands; I have overcome and slain the Messenger of Death.
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਲਾਥੇ ਪਾਪ ਸੰਤਾਪਾ ॥
har prabh kripā dhārī sukhadātē dukh lāthē pāp santāpā .
The Lord God, the Giver of peace, has granted His Grace, and I am rid of pain, sin and disease.
ਸੁਣਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਹੰਉਮੈ ਪਾਪਾ ॥੨॥

ਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
mukh guramukh mukh guramukh jap sabh rōg gavāiā rām .
Speaking as Gurmukh, speaking as Gurmukh, chanting the Naam, all disease is eradicated.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਅਰੋਗਤ ਭਏ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥
guramukh jap sabh rōg gavāiā arōgat bhaē sarīrā .
As Gurmukh, chanting the Naam, all disease is eradicated, and the body becomes free of disease.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰਾ ॥
anadin sahaj samādh har lāgī har japiā gahir ganbhīrā .
Night and day, one remains absorbed in the Perfect Poise of Samaadhi; meditate on the Name of the Lord, the inaccessible and unfathomable Lord.
ਜਾਤਿ ਅਜਾਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਪਰਮ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jāt ajāt nām jin dhiāiā tin param padārath pāiā .
Whether of high or low social status, one who meditates on the Naam obtains the supreme treasure.
