ਬਲਵੰਤਿ ਬਿਆਪਿ ਰਹੀ ਸਭ ਮਹੀ ॥
balavant biāp rahī sabh mahī .
The power of Maya is pervading everywhere.
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਸਿ ਕੋਊ ਮਰਮਾ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
avar n jānas kōū maramā gur kirapā tē lahī .1. rahāu .
Her secret is known only by Guru's Grace - no one else knows it. ||1||Pause||
ਜੀਤਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਜੀਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਥਾਨਾ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਲਪਟਹੀ ॥
jīt jīt jītē sabh thānā sagal bhavan lapatahī .
Conquering and conquering, she has conquered everywhere, and she clings to the whole world.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਤੇ ਭਾਗੀ ਹੋਇ ਚੇਰੀ ਚਰਨ ਗਹੀ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੪॥
kah nānak sādh tē bhāgī hōi chērī charan gahī .2.5.14.
Says Nanak, she surrenders to the Holy Saint; becoming his servant, she falls at his feet. ||2||5||14||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
dui kar jōr karī bēnantī thākur apanā dhiāiā .
With my palms pressed together, I offer my prayer, meditating on my Lord and Master.
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
hāth dēi rākhē paramēsar sagalā durat mitāiā .1.
Giving me His hand, the Transcendent Lord has saved me, and erased all my sins. ||1||
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
thākur hōē āp daiāl .
The Lord and Master Himself has become merciful.
ਭਈ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਆਨੰਦ ਰੂਪ ਹੁਈ ਹੈ ਉਬਰੇ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhaī kaliān ānand rūp huī hai ubarē bāl gupāl .1. rahāu .
I have been emancipated, the embodiment of bliss; I am the child of the Lord of the Universe - He has carried me across. ||1||Pause||
ਮਿਲਿ ਵਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ॥
mil var nārī mangal gāiā thākur kā jaikār .
Meeting her Husband, the soul-bride sings the songs of joy, and celebrates her Lord and Master.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੫॥
kah nānak tis gur balihārī jin sabh kā kīā udhār .2.6.15.
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru, who has emancipated everyone. ||2||6||15||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਭਾਈ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਬਲੁ ਹੈ ਥੋਰਾ ॥
māt pitā bhāī sut bandhap tin kā bal hai thōrā .
Mother, father, siblings, children and relatives - their power is insignificant.
ਅਨਿਕ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਪੇਖੇ ਕਿਛੁ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਭੋਰਾ ॥੧॥
anik rang māiā kē pēkhē kish sāth n chālai bhōrā .1.
I have seen the many pleasures of Maya, but none goes with them in the end. ||1||
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਆਹਿ ਨ ਮੋਰਾ ॥
thākur tujh bin āh n mōrā .
O Lord Master, other than You, no one is mine.
ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਗੁਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੈ ਆਹਿਓ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰਾ ਧੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mōh anāth niragun gun nāhī mai āhiō tumharā dhōrā .1. rahāu .
I am a worthless orphan, devoid of merit; I long for Your Support. ||1||Pause||
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਚਰਣ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੇ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਜੋਰਾ ॥
bal bal bal bal charan tumhārē īhā ūhā tumhārā jōrā .
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to Your lotus feet; here and hereafter, Yours is the only power.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਹੋਰਾ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੬॥
sādhasang nānak daras pāiō binasiō sagal nihōrā .2.7.16.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, Nanak has obtained the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; my obligations to all others are annulled. ||2||7||16||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਆਲ ਜਾਲ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਤਜਾਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਤੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਈ ॥
āl jāl bhram mōh tajāvai prabh sētī rang lāī .
He rids us of entanglements, doubt and emotional attachment, and leads us to love God.
ਮਨ ਕਉ ਇਹ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥
man kau ih upadēs drirāvai sahaj sahaj gun gāī .1.
He implants this instruction in our minds, for us to sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, in peace and poise. ||1||
ਸਾਜਨ ਐਸੋ ਸੰਤੁ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
sājan aisō sant sahāī .
O friend, the Saintly Guru is such a helper.
ਜਿਸੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਤੂਟਹਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਧ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jis bhētē tūtah māiā bandh bisar n kabahūn jāī .1. rahāu .
Meeting Him, the bonds of Maya are released, and one never forgets the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਤ ਕਰਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤੀ ਨੀਕੀ ਇਹ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥
karat karat anik bah bhātī nīkī ih thaharāī .
Practicing, practicing various actions in so many ways, I came to recognize this as the best way.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥੨॥੮॥੧੭॥
mil sādhū har jas gāvai nānak bhavajal pār parāī .2.8.17.
Joining the Company of the Holy, Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and crosses over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||8||17||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਕਰੀ ॥
khin mah thāp uthāpanahārā kīmat jāi n karī .
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes; His value cannot be described.
ਰਾਜਾ ਰੰਕੁ ਕਰੈ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਨੀਚਹ ਜੋਤਿ ਧਰੀ ॥੧॥
rājā rank karai khin bhītar nīchah jōt dharī .1.
He turns the king into a beggar in an instant, and He infuses splendor into the lowly. ||1||
ਧਿਆਈਐ ਅਪਨੋ ਸਦਾ ਹਰੀ ॥
dhiāīai apanō sadā harī .
Meditate forever on Your Lord.
ਸੋਚ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੀਐ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਏਕ ਘਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sōch andēsā tā kā kahā karīai jā mah ēk gharī .1. rahāu .
Why should I feel worry or anxiety, when I am here for only a short time. ||1||Pause||
ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਪੂਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਾਰੈ ਪਰੀ ॥
tumharī tēk pūrē mērē satigur man saran tumhārai parī .
You are my support, O my Perfect True Guru; my mind has taken to the protection of Your Sanctuary.
ਅਚੇਤ ਇਆਨੇ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਰੀ ॥੨॥੯॥੧੮॥
achēt iānē bārik nānak ham tum rākhah dhār karī .2.9.18.
Nanak, I am a foolish and ignorant child; reach out to me with Your hand, Lord, and save me. ||2||9||18||

ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਬਸਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
tūn dātā jīā sabhanā kā basah mērē man māhī .
You are the Giver of all beings; please, come to dwell within my mind.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਰਿਦ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਏ ਤਹ ਭਰਮੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
charan kamal rid māh samāē tah bharam andhērā nāhī .1.
That heart, within which Your lotus feet are enshrined, suffers no darkness or doubt. ||1||
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜਾ ਸਿਮਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਤਾਹੀ ॥
thākur jā simarā tūn tāhī .
O Lord Master, wherever I remember You, there I find You.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kar kirapā sarab pratipālak prabh kau sadā salāhī .1. rahāu .
Show Mercy to me, O God, Cherisher of all, that I may sing Your Praises forever. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰਉ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਹੀ ॥
sās sās tērā nām samārau tum hī kau prabh āhī .
With each and every breath, I contemplate Your Name; O God, I long for You alone.
ਨਾਨਕ ਟੇਕ ਭਈ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੀ ਹੋਰ ਆਸ ਬਿਡਾਣੀ ਲਾਹੀ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੧੯॥
nānak tēk bhaī karatē kī hōr ās bidānī lāhī .2.10.19.
O Nanak, my support is the Creator Lord; I have renounced all other hopes. ||2||10||19||
