ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਬਿਆਪਕ ਪੂਰਕ ਜਤ ਦੇਖਉ ਤਤ ਸੋਈ ॥
ēk anēk biāpak pūrak jat dēkhau tat sōī .
In the one and in the many, He is pervading and permeating; wherever I look, there He is.
ਮਾਇਆ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਮੋਹਿਤ ਬਿਰਲਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥
māiā chitr bachitr bimōhit biralā būjhai kōī .1.
The marvellous image of Maya is so fascinating; how few understand this. ||1||
ਸਭੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
sabh gōbind hai sabh gōbind hai gōbind bin nahī kōī .
God is everything, God is everything. Without God, there is nothing at all.
ਸੂਤੁ ਏਕੁ ਮਣਿ ਸਤ ਸਹੰਸ ਜੈਸੇ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sūt ēk man sat sahans jaisē ōt pōt prabh sōī .1. rahāu .
As one thread holds hundreds and thousands of beads, He is woven into His creation. ||1||Pause||
ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਅਰੁ ਫੇਨ ਬੁਦਬੁਦਾ ਜਲ ਤੇ ਭਿੰਨ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
jal tarang ar phēn budabudā jal tē bhinn n hōī .
The waves of the water, the foam and bubbles, are not distinct from the water.
ਇਹੁ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਲੀਲਾ ਬਿਚਰਤ ਆਨ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥
ih parapanch pārabraham kī līlā bicharat ān n hōī .2.
This manifested world is the playful game of the Supreme Lord God; reflecting upon it, we find that it is not different from Him. ||2||
ਮਿਥਿਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਅਰੁ ਸੁਪਨ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸਤਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
mithiā bharam ar supan manōrath sat padārath jāniā .
False doubts and dream objects - man believes them to be true.
ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਮਨਸਾ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੀ ਜਾਗਤ ਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੩॥
sukrit manasā gur upadēsī jāgat hī man māniā .3.
The Guru has instructed me to try to do good deeds, and my awakened mind has accepted this. ||3||
ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
kahat nāmadēu har kī rachanā dēkhah ridai bīchārī .
Says Naam Dayv, see the Creation of the Lord, and reflect upon it in your heart.
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਕੇਵਲ ਏਕ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੧॥
ghat ghat antar sarab nirantar kēval ēk murārī .4.1.
In each and every heart, and deep within the very nucleus of all, is the One Lord. ||4||1||

ਆਨੀਲੇ ਕੁੰਭ ਭਰਾਈਲੇ ਊਦਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਉ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰਉ ॥
ānīlē kunbh bharāīlē ūdak thākur kau isanān karau .
Bringing the pitcher, I fill it with water, to bathe the Lord.
ਬਇਆਲੀਸ ਲਖ ਜੀ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਤੇ ਬੀਠਲੁ ਭੈਲਾ ਕਾਇ ਕਰਉ ॥੧॥
baiālīs lakh jī jal mah hōtē bīthal bhailā kāi karau .1.
But 4.2 million species of beings are in the water - how can I use it for the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny? ||1||
ਜਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਉ ਤਤ ਬੀਠਲੁ ਭੈਲਾ ॥
jatr jāu tat bīthal bhailā .
Wherever I go, the Lord is there.
ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰੇ ਸਦ ਕੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mahā anand karē sad kēlā .1. rahāu .
He continually plays in supreme bliss. ||1||Pause||
ਆਨੀਲੇ ਫੂਲ ਪਰੋਈਲੇ ਮਾਲਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਉ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਉ ॥
ānīlē phūl parōīlē mālā thākur kī hau pūj karau .
I bring flowers to weave a garland, in worshipful adoration of the Lord.
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਬਾਸੁ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਭਵਰਹ ਬੀਠਲ ਭੈਲਾ ਕਾਇ ਕਰਉ ॥੨॥
pahilē bās laī hai bhavarah bīthal bhailā kāi karau .2.
But the bumble bee has already sucked out the fragrance - how can I use it for the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny? ||2||
ਆਨੀਲੇ ਦੂਧੁ ਰੀਧਾਈਲੇ ਖੀਰੰ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਉ ਨੈਵੇਦੁ ਕਰਉ ॥
ānīlē dūdh rīdhāīlē khīran thākur kau naivēd karau .
I carry milk and cook it to make pudding, with which to feed the Lord.
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੂਧੁ ਬਿਟਾਰਿਓ ਬਛਰੈ ਬੀਠਲੁ ਭੈਲਾ ਕਾਇ ਕਰਉ ॥੩॥
pahilē dūdh bitāriō basharai bīthal bhailā kāi karau .3.
But the calf has already tasted the milk - how can I use it for the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny? ||3||
ਈਭੈ ਬੀਠਲੁ ਊਭੈ ਬੀਠਲੁ ਬੀਠਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਨਹੀ ॥
ībhai bīthal ūbhai bīthal bīthal bin sansār nahī .
The Lord is here, the Lord is there; without the Lord, there is no world at all.
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਣਵੈ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ ਮਹੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
thān thanantar nāmā pranavai pūr rahiō tūn sarab mahī .4.2.
Prays Naam Dayv, O Lord, You are totally permeating and pervading all places and interspaces. ||4||2||

Aasaa:
ਮਨੁ ਮੇਰੋ ਗਜੁ ਜਿਹਬਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਾਤੀ ॥
man mērō gaj jihabā mērī kātī .
My mind is the yardstick, and my tongue is the scissors.
ਮਪਿ ਮਪਿ ਕਾਟਉ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ॥੧॥
map map kātau jam kī phāsī .1.
I measure it out and cut off the noose of death. ||1||
ਕਹਾ ਕਰਉ ਜਾਤੀ ਕਹ ਕਰਉ ਪਾਤੀ ॥
kahā karau jātī kah karau pātī .
What do I have to do with social status? What do I have to with ancestry?
ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਉ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rām kō nām japau din rātī .1. rahāu .
I meditate on the Name of the Lord, day and night. ||1||Pause||
ਰਾਂਗਨਿ ਰਾਂਗਉ ਸੀਵਨਿ ਸੀਵਉ ॥
rānhgan rānhgau sīvan sīvau .
I dye myself in the color of the Lord, and sew what has to be sewn.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਘਰੀਅ ਨ ਜੀਵਉ ॥੨॥
rām nām bin gharī n jīvau .2.
Without the Lord's Name, I cannot live, even for a moment. ||2||
ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਉ ॥
bhagat karau har kē gun gāvau .
I perform devotional worship, and sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਅਪਨਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥੩॥
āth pahar apanā khasam dhiāvau .3.
Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on my Lord and Master. ||3||
ਸੁਇਨੇ ਕੀ ਸੂਈ ਰੁਪੇ ਕਾ ਧਾਗਾ ॥
suinē kī sūī rupē kā dhāgā .
My needle is gold, and my thread is silver.
ਨਾਮੇ ਕਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਉ ਲਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੩॥
nāmē kā chit har sau lāgā .4.3.
Naam Dayv's mind is attached to the Lord. ||4||3||

ਸਾਪੁ ਕੁੰਚ ਛੋਡੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਛਾਡੈ ॥
sāp kunch shōdai bikh nahī shādai .
The snake sheds its skin, but does not lose its venom.
ਉਦਕ ਮਾਹਿ ਜੈਸੇ ਬਗੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਮਾਡੈ ॥੧॥
udak māh jaisē bag dhiān mādai .1.
The heron appears to be meditating, but it is concentrating on the water. ||1||
ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਕੀਜੈ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਜਪੰਨਾ ॥
kāhē kau kījai dhiān japannā .
Why do you practice meditation and chanting,
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸੁਧੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jab tē sudh nāhī man apanā .1. rahāu .
when your mind is not pure? ||1||Pause||
ਸਿੰਘਚ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਜੋ ਨਰੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
singhach bhōjan jō nar jānai .
That man who feeds like a lion,
ਐਸੇ ਹੀ ਠਗਦੇਉ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥੨॥
aisē hī thagadēu bakhānai .2.
is called the god of thieves. ||2||
ਨਾਮੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਲਾਹਿ ਲੇ ਝਗਰਾ ॥
nāmē kē suāmī lāh lē jhagarā .
Naam Dayv's Lord and Master has settled my inner conflicts.
