The Sanctuary of the Lord's Feet, and dedication to the Saints
ਸੁਖੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਹੀ ॥
sukhō sukh pāhī .
- these bring me peace and pleasure.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਪਤਿ ਹਰੀ ॥
nānak tapat harī .
O Nanak, my burning fire has been put out,
ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਰੀ ॥੩॥੩॥੧੪੩॥
milē prēm pirī .3.3.143.
obtaining the Love of the Beloved. ||3||3||143||

ਗੁਰਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਓ ਲੋਇਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

The Guru has revealed Him to my eyes. ||1||Pause||
ਈਤਹਿ ਊਤਹਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਤੂੰਹੀ ਤੂੰਹੀ ਮੋਹਿਨਾ ॥੧॥
ītah ūtah ghat ghat ghat ghat tūnhī tūnhī mōhinā .1.
Here and there, in each and every heart, and each and every being, You, O Fascinating Lord, You exist. ||1||
ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਸੋਹਿਨਾ ॥੨॥
kāran karanā dhāran dharanā ēkai ēkai sōhinā .2.
You are the Creator, the Cause of causes, the Support of the earth; You are the One and only, Beauteous Lord. ||2||
ਸੰਤਨ ਪਰਸਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੋਇਨਾ ॥੩॥੪॥੧੪੪॥
santan parasan balihārī darasan nānak sukh sukh sōinā .3.4.144.
Meeting the Saints, and beholding the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, Nanak is a sacrifice to them; he sleeps in absolute peace. ||3||4||144||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਮੋਲਾ ॥
har har nām amōlā .
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is priceless.
ਓਹੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ōh sahaj suhēlā .1. rahāu .
It brings peace and poise. ||1||Pause||
ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਓਹੁ ਅਗਹ ਅਤੋਲਾ ॥੧॥
sang sahāī shōd n jāī ōh agah atōlā .1.
The Lord is my Companion and Helper; He shall not forsake me or leave me. He is unfathomable and unequalled. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਭਾਈ ਬਾਪੁ ਮੋਰੋ ਮਾਈ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਓਲ੍ਹਾ ॥੨॥
prītam bhāī bāp mōrō māī bhagatan kā ōlhā .2.
He is my Beloved, my brother, father and mother; He is the Support of His devotees. ||2||
ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਚੋਲ੍ਹਾ ॥੩॥੫॥੧੪੫॥
alakh lakhāiā gur tē pāiā nānak ih har kā chōlhā .3.5.145.
The Invisible Lord is seen through the Guru; O Nanak, this is the wondrous play of the Lord. ||3||5||145||

ਆਪੁਨੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਬਾਹਿ ॥
āpunī bhagat nibāh .
Please help me sustain my devotion.
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਆਇਓ ਆਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

O Lord Master, I have come to You. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਕਾਰਥੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਚਰਨ ਬਸਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
nām padārath hōi sakārath hiradai charan basāh .1.
With the wealth of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, life becomes fruitful. Lord, please place Your Feet within my heart. ||1||
ਏਹ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਏਹ ਜੁਗਤਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
ēh mukatā ēh jugatā rākhah sant sangāh .2.
This is liberation, and this is the best way of life; please, keep me in the Society of the Saints. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਉ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੩॥੬॥੧੪੬॥
nām dhiāvau sahaj samāvau nānak har gun gāh .3.6.146.
Meditating on the Naam, I am absorbed in celestial peace; O Nanak, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||6||146||

ਠਾਕੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਸੁਹਾਵੇ ॥

The Feet of my Lord and Master are so Beautiful!
ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਾਵੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

The Lord's Saints obtain them. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਇਆ ਗੁਨ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਗਾਵੇ ॥੧॥
āp gavāiā sēv kamāiā gun ras ras gāvē .1.
They eradicate their self-conceit and serve the Lord; drenched in His Love, they sing His Glorious Praises. ||1||
ਏਕਹਿ ਆਸਾ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਭਾਵੇ ॥੨॥
ēkah āsā daras piāsā ān n bhāvē .2.
They place their hopes in Him, and they thirst for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. Nothing else is pleasing to them. ||2||
ਦਇਆ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਕਿਆ ਜੰਤ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵੇ ॥੩॥੭॥੧੪੭॥
daiā tuhārī kiā jant vichārī nānak bal bal jāvē .3.7.147.
This is Your Mercy, Lord; what can Your poor creatures do? Nanak is devoted, a sacrifice to You. ||3||7||147||

ਏਕੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ēk simar man māhī .1. rahāu .
Remember the One Lord in meditation within your mind. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
nām dhiāvah ridai basāvah tis bin kō nāhī .1.
Meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and enshrine Him within your heart. Without Him there is no other. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨੀ ਆਈਐ ਸਰਬ ਫਲ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੁਖ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥
prabh saranī āīai sarab phal pāīai sagalē dukh jāhī .2.
Entering God's Sanctuary, all rewards are obtained, and all pains are taken away. ||2||
ਜੀਅਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਆਹੀ ॥੩॥੮॥੧੪੮॥
jīan kō dātā purakh bidhātā nānak ghat ghat āhī .3.8.148.
He is the Giver of all beings, the Architect of Destiny; O Nanak, He is contained in each and every heart. ||3||8||148||

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸੋ ਮੂਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har bisarat sō mūā .1. rahāu .
One who forgets the Lord is dead. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਸਰਬ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਹੂਆ ॥੧॥
nām dhiāvai sarab phal pāvai sō jan sukhīā hūā .1.
One who meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, obtains all rewards. That person becomes happy. ||1||
ਰਾਜੁ ਕਹਾਵੈ ਹਉ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਨਲਿਨੀ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਸੂਆ ॥੨॥
rāj kahāvai hau karam kamāvai bādhiō nalinī bhram sūā .2.
One who calls himself a king, and acts in ego and pride, is caught by his doubts, like a parrot in a trap. ||2||
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਥੀਆ ॥੩॥੯॥੧੪੯॥
kah nānak jis satigur bhētiā sō jan nihachal thīā .3.9.149.
Says Nanak, one who meets the True Guru, becomes permanent and immortal. ||3||9||149||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār satigur prasād .
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਓਹੁ ਨੇਹੁ ਨਵੇਲਾ ॥
ōh nēh navēlā .
That love is forever fresh and new,
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
apunē prītam siu lāg rahai .1. rahāu .
which is for the Beloved Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
jō prabh bhāvai janam n āvai .
One who is pleasing to God shall not be reincarnated again.
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਰਚੈ ॥੧॥
har prēm bhagat har prīt rachai .1.
He remains absorbed in the loving devotional worship of the Lord, in the Love of the Lord. ||1||
