ਪੀੜ ਗਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਦੁਹੇਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
pīr gaī phir nahī duhēlī .1. rahāu .
her pain is dispelled, and she shall not become sad again. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲੀ ॥
kar kirapā charan sang mēlī .
Showing His Mercy, He joins her with His Feet,
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ ॥੧॥
sūkh sahaj ānand suhēlī .1.
and she attains celestial peace, joy and comfort. ||1||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਅਤੋਲੀ ॥
sādhasang gun gāi atōlī .
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, she sings the Glorious Praises of the Immeasurable Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਈ ਅਮੋਲੀ ॥੨॥੩੫॥
har simarat nānak bhaī amōlī .2.35.
Remembering the Lord in meditation, O Nanak, she becomes invaluable. ||2||35||

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਏ ਖੇਲਤ ਸਭਿ ਜੂਐ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
kām krōdh māiā mad matasar ē khēlat sabh jūai hārē .
Sexual desire, anger, intoxication with Maya and jealousy - I have lost all of these in the game of chance.
ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਇਹ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
sat santōkh daiā dharam sach ih apunai grih bhītar vārē .1.
Purity, contentment, compassion, faith and truthfulness - I have ushered these into the home of my self. ||1||
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਚੂਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
janam maran chūkē sabh bhārē .
All the loads of birth and death have been removed.
ਮਿਲਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਇਓ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਲੈ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
milat sang bhaiō man niramal gur pūrai lai khin mah tārē .1. rahāu .
Joining the Saints' Society, my mind has become pure; the Perfect Guru has saved me in an instant. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭ ਕੀ ਰੇਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੈ ਮਨੂਆ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
sabh kī rēn hōi rahai manūā sagalē dīsah mīt piārē .
My mind has become the dust of all, and everyone seems a sweet friend to me.
ਸਭ ਮਧੇ ਰਵਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਤ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
sabh madhē raviā mērā thākur dān dēt sabh jī samhārē .2.
My Lord and Master is contained in all. He gives His Gifts to all beings, and cherishes them. ||2||
ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਆਪਿ ਇਕੁ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਹੈ ਸਗਲਾ ਪਾਸਾਰੇ ॥
ēkō ēk āp ik ēkai ēkai hai sagalā pāsārē .
He Himself is the One and only; from the One, the One and only, came the expanse of the entire creation.
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਹੋਏ ਸਗਲ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
jap jap hōē sagal sādh jan ēk nām dhiāi bahut udhārē .3.
Chanting and meditating, all the humble beings have become Holy; meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, so many have been saved. ||3||
ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਬਿਅੰਤ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੇ ॥
gahir ganbhīr biant gusāī ant nahī kish pārāvārē .
The Lord of the Universe is deep, profound and infinite; He has no end or limitation.
ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਿਆਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੩੬॥
tumharī kripā tē gun gāvai nānak dhiāi dhiāi prabh kau namasakārē .4.36.
By Your Grace, Nanak sings Your Glorious Praises; meditating, meditating, he humbly bows to God. ||4||36||

ਤੂ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਅਵਿਗਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਇਹੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਕਾਰੁ ॥
tū biant avigat agōchar ih sabh tērā ākār .
You are Infinite, Eternal and Incomprehensible; all this is Your Creation.
ਕਿਆ ਹਮ ਜੰਤ ਕਰਹ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਜਾਂ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੁਝੈ ਮਝਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
kiā ham jant karah chaturāī jānh sabh kish tujhai majhār .1.
What clever games can we play, when everything is contained in You? ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਪਨੇ ਬਾਲਿਕ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਲੀਲਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
mērē satigur apanē bālik rākhah līlā dhār .
O my True Guru, protect me, Your child, through the power of Your play.
ਦੇਹੁ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dēh sumat sadā gun gāvā mērē thākur agam apār .1. rahāu .
Grant me the good sense to ever sing Your Glorious Praises, O my Inaccessible and Infinite Lord and Master. ||1||Pause||
ਜੈਸੇ ਜਨਨਿ ਜਠਰ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਓਹੁ ਰਹਤਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਿ ॥
jaisē janan jathar mah prānī ōh rahatā nām adhār .
The mortal is preserved in the womb of his mother, by the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord;
ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰੈ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਰੈ ਨਾ ਪੋਹੈ ਅਗਨਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
anad karai sās sās samhārai nā pōhai aganār .2.
he makes merry, and with each and every breath he remembers the Lord, and the fire does not touch him. ||2||
ਪਰ ਧਨ ਪਰ ਦਾਰਾ ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਇਨ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥
par dhan par dārā par nindā in siu prīt nivār .
Others' wealth, others' wives, and the slander of others - renounce your craving for these.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੇਵੀ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੈ ਆਧਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
charan kamal sēvī rid antar gur pūrē kai ādhār .3.
Serve the Lord's Lotus Feet within your heart, and hold to the Support of the Perfect Guru. ||3||
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਮੰਦਰ ਮਹਲਾ ਜੋ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਗਾਰਿ ॥
grih mandar mahalā jō dīsah nā kōī sangār .
Houses, mansions and palaces which you see - none of these shall go with you.
ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਕਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਮਹਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੩੭॥
jab lag jīvah kalī kāl mah jan nānak nām samhār .4.37.
As long as you live in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, O servant Nanak, remember the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||37||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲਕ ਜੋਬਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸੋਭਾ ਰੂਪਵੰਤੁ ਜੋੁਆਨੀ ॥
rāj milak jōban grih sōbhā rūpavant jōānī .
Power, property, youth, household, fame and the beauty of youth;
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦਰਬੁ ਹਸਤੀ ਅਰੁ ਘੋੜੇ ਲਾਲ ਲਾਖ ਬੈ ਆਨੀ ॥
bahut darab hasatī ar ghōrē lāl lākh bai ānī .
great wealth, elephants, horses and jewels, purchased with tens of thousands of dollars;
ਆਗੈ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਲੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
āgai daragah kām n āvai shōd chalai abhimānī .1.
hereafter, these shall be of no avail in the Court of the Lord; the proud must depart, leaving them behind. ||1||
ਕਾਹੇ ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
kāhē ēk binā chit lāīai .
Why center your consciousness on any other than the Lord?
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ūthat baithat sōvat jāgat sadā sadā har dhiāīai .1. rahāu .
Sitting down, standing up, sleeping and waking, forever and ever, meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਮਹਾ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਆਖਾੜੇ ਰਣ ਮਹਿ ਜਿਤੇ ਪਵਾੜੇ ॥
mahā bachitr sundar ākhārē ran mah jitē pavārē .
He may have the most wondrous and beautiful arenas, and be victorious on the field of battle.
