ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤੂ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ॥
jah dēkhā tū sabhanī thāī .
Wherever I look, I see You, everywhere.
ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਭ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਈ ॥
pūrai gur sabh sōjhī pāī .
Through the Perfect Guru, all this is known.
ਨਾਮੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਦਾ ਸਦ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੨॥
nāmō nām dhiāīai sadā sad ih man nāmē rātā hē .12.
I meditate forever and ever on the Naam; this mind is imbued with the Naam. ||12||
ਨਾਮੇ ਰਾਤਾ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥
nāmē rātā pavit sarīrā .
Imbued with the Naam, the body is sanctified.
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਡੂਬਿ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਨੀਰਾ ॥
bin nāvai dūb muē bin nīrā .
Without the Naam, they are drowned and die without water.
ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਵਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਇਕਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥
āvah jāvah nām nahī būjhah ikanā guramukh sabad pashātā hē .13.
They come and go, but do not understand the Naam. Some, as Gurmukh, realize the Word of the Shabad. ||13||
ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
pūrai satigur būjh bujhāī .
The Perfect True Guru has imparted this understanding.
ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
vin nāvai mukat kinai n pāī .
Without the Name, no one attains liberation.
ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਹਜਿ ਰਹੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੪॥
nāmē nām milai vadiāī sahaj rahai rang rātā hē .14.
Through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, one is blessed with glorious greatness; he remains intuitively attuned to the Lord's Love. ||14||
ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰੁ ਢਹੈ ਢਹਿ ਢੇਰੀ ॥
kāiā nagar dhahai dhah dhērī .
The body-village crumbles and collapses into a pile of dust.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਚੂਕੈ ਨਹੀ ਫੇਰੀ ॥
bin sabadai chūkai nahī phērī .
Without the Shabad, the cycle of reincarnation is not brought to an end.
ਸਾਚੁ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥
sāch salāhē sāch samāvai jin guramukh ēkō jātā hē .15.
One who knows the One Lord, through the True Guru, praises the True Lord, and remains immersed in the True Lord. ||15||
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥
jis nō nadar karē sō pāē . sāchā sabad vasai man āē .
The True Word of the Shabad comes to dwell in the mind, when the Lord bestows His Glance of Grace.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੬॥੮॥
nānak nām ratē nirankārī dar sāchai sāch pashātā hē .16.8.
O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Formless Lord, realize the True Lord in His True Court. ||16||8||
ਮਾਰੂ ਸੋਲਹੇ ੩ ॥

Maaroo, Solhay, Third Mehl:
ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਰਣਾ ॥
āpē karatā sabh jis karanā .
O Creator, it is You Yourself who does all.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾ ॥
jī jant sabh tērī saranā .
All beings and creatures are under Your Protection.
ਆਪੇ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
āpē gupat varatai sabh antar gur kai sabad pashātā hē .1.
You are hidden, and yet permeating within all; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, You are realized. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
har kē bhagat bharē bhandārā .
Devotion to the Lord is a treasure overflowing.
ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
āpē bakhasē sabad vīchārā .
He Himself blesses us with contemplative meditation on the Shabad.
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਸਹਿ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
jō tudh bhāvai sōī karasah sachē siu man rātā hē .2.
You do whatever You please; my mind is attuned to the True Lord. ||2||
ਆਪੇ ਹੀਰਾ ਰਤਨੁ ਅਮੋਲੋ ॥
āpē hīrā ratan amōlō .
You Yourself are the priceless diamond and jewel.
ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰੀ ਤੋਲੇ ਤੋਲੋ ॥
āpē nadarī tōlē tōlō .
In Your Mercy, You weigh with Your scale.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੩॥
jī jant sabh saran tumārī kar kirapā āp pashātā hē .3.
All beings and creatures are under Your protection. One who is blessed by Your Grace realizes his own self. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਧੁਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
jis nō nadar hōvai dhur tērī .
One who receives Your Mercy, O Primal Lord,
ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜੰਮੈ ਚੂਕੈ ਫੇਰੀ ॥
marai n janmai chūkai phērī .
does not die, and is not reborn; he is released from the cycle of reincarnation.
ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੪॥
sāchē gun gāvai din rātī jug jug ēkō jātā hē .4.
He sings the Glorious Praises of the True Lord, day and night, and, throughout the ages, he knows the One Lord. ||4||
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
māiā mōh sabh jagat upāiā .
Emotional attachment to Maya wells up throughout the whole world,
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਦੇਵ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥
brahamā bisan dēv sabāiā .
from Brahma, Vishnu and all the demi-gods.
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਣੇ ਸੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਤੀ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੫॥
jō tudh bhānē sē nām lāgē giān matī pashātā hē .5.
Those who are pleasing to Your Will, are attached to the Naam; through spiritual wisdom and understanding, You are recognized. ||5||
ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਵਰਤੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
pāp punn varatai sansārā .
The world is engrossed in vice and virtue.
ਹਰਖੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਰਾ ॥
harakh sōg sabh dukh hai bhārā .
Happiness and misery are totally loaded with pain.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੬॥
guramukh hōvai sō sukh pāē jin guramukh nām pashātā hē .6.
One who becomes Gurmukh finds peace; such a Gurmukh recognizes the Naam. ||6||
ਕਿਰਤੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਟਣਹਾਰਾ ॥
kirat n kōī mētanahārā .
No one can erase the record of one's actions.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥
gur kai sabadē mōkh duārā .
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, one finds the door of salvation.
ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਆਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੭॥
pūrab likhiā sō phal pāiā jin āp mār pashātā hē .7.
One who conquers self-conceit and recognizes the Lord, obtains the fruits of his pre-destined rewards. ||7||
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
māiā mōh har siu chit n lāgai .
Emotionally attached to Maya, one's consciousness is not attached to the Lord.
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਘਣਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ॥
dūjai bhāi ghanā dukh āgai .
In the love of duality, he will suffer terrible agony in the world hereafter.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੇ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੮॥
manamukh bharam bhulē bhēkhadhārī ant kāl pashutātā hē .8.
The hypocritical, self-willed manmukhs are deluded by doubt; at the very last moment, they regret and repent. ||8||
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
har kai bhānai har gun gāē .
In accordance with the Lord's Will, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਦੂਖ ਸਬਾਏ ॥
sabh kilabikh kātē dūkh sabāē .
He is rid of all sins, and all suffering.
ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੯॥
har niramal niramal hai bānī har sētī man rātā hē .9.
The Lord is immaculate, and immaculate is the Word of His Bani. My mind is imbued with the Lord. ||9||
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
jis nō nadar karē sō gun nidh pāē .
One who is blessed with the Lord's Glance of Grace, obtains the Lord, the treasure of virtue.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਏ ॥
haumai mērā thāk rahāē .
Egotism and possessiveness are brought to an end.
ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲੀ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੦॥
gun avagan kā ēkō dātā guramukh viralī jātā hē .10.
The One Lord is the only Giver of virtue and vice, merits and demerits; how rare are those who, as Gurmukh, understand this. ||10||
ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਅਤਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
mērā prabh niramal at apārā .
My God is immaculate, and utterly infinite.
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
āpē mēlai gur sabad vīchārā .
God unites with Himself, through contemplation of the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
