ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ ॥
har kai bhānai satigur milai sach sōjhī hōī .
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, one meets the True Guru, and true understanding is obtained.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥
gur parasādī man vasai har būjhai sōī .1.
By Guru's Grace, the Lord abides in the mind, and one comes to understand the Lord. ||1||
ਮੈ ਸਹੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
mai sah dātā ēk hai avar nāhī kōī .
My Husband Lord, the Great Giver, is One. There is no other at all.
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur kirapā tē man vasai tā sadā sukh hōī .1. rahāu .
By Guru's merciful favor, He abides in the mind, and then, a lasting peace ensues. ||1||Pause||
ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
is jug mah nirabhau har nām hai pāīai gur vīchār .
In this age, the Lord's Name is fearless; it is obtained by meditative reflection upon the Guru.
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧ ਗਵਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
bin nāvai jam kai vas hai manamukh andh gavār .2.
Without the Name, the blind, foolish, self-willed manmukh is under Death's power. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੈ ਬੂਝੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
har kai bhānai jan sēvā karai būjhai sach sōī .
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, the humble being performs His service, and understands the True Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਭਾਣੈ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੩॥
har kai bhānai sālāhīai bhānai manniai sukh hōī .3.
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, He is to be praised; surrendering to His Will, peace ensues. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਈ ॥
har kai bhānai janam padārath pāiā mat ūtam hōī .
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, the prize of this human birth is obtained, and the intellect is exalted.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥੪॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੫੨॥
nānak nām salāh tūn guramukh gat hōī .4.39.13.52.
O Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; as Gurmukh, you shall be emancipated. ||4||39||13||52||
