ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur parasādī har ras pāiā nām padārath nau nidh pāī .1. rahāu .
By Guru's Grace, I have obtained the sublime essence of the Lord; I have received the wealth of the Naam and the nine treasures. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
karam dharam sach sāchā nāu .
Those whose karma and Dharma - whose actions and faith - are in the True Name of the True Lord
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
tā kai sad balihārai jāu .
- I am forever a sacrifice to them.
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
jō har rātē sē jan paravān .
Those who are imbued with the Lord are accepted and respected.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੨॥
tin kī sangat param nidhān .2.
In their company, the supreme wealth is obtained. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
har var jin pāiā dhan nārī .
Blessed is that bride, who has obtained the Lord as her Husband.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
har siu rātī sabad vīchārī .
She is imbued with the Lord, and she reflects upon the Word of His Shabad.
ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰੈ ॥
āp tarai sangat kul tārai .
She saves herself, and saves her family and friends as well.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਤਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੩॥
satigur sēv tat vīchārai .3.
She serves the True Guru, and contemplates the essence of reality. ||3||
ਹਮਰੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
hamarī jāt pat sach nāu .
The True Name is my social status and honor.
ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਸਤ ਭਾਉ ॥
karam dharam sanjam sat bhāu .
The love of the Truth is my karma and Dharma - my faith and my actions, and my self-control.
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸੇ ਪੂਛ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
nānak bakhasē pūsh n hōi .
O Nanak, one who is forgiven by the Lord is not called to account.
ਦੂਜਾ ਮੇਟੇ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥
dūjā mētē ēkō sōi .4.14.
The One Lord erases duality. ||4||14||
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥
āsā mahalā 1 .
Aasaa, First Mehl:
ਜੋ ਤਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਥੀਆ ॥
jō tin kīā sō sach thīā .
Whatever He has done, has proved to be true.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ॥
anmrit nām satigur dīā .
The True Guru bestows the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨਿ ਭੰਗੁ ॥
hiradai nām nāhī man bhang .
With the Naam in the heart, the mind is not separated from the Lord.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੰਗੁ ॥੧॥
anadin nāl piārē sang .1.
Night and day, one dwells with the Beloved. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
har jīu rākhah apanī saranāī .
O Lord, please keep me in the Protection of Your Sanctuary.
