Pauree:
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਜੋ ਜੀਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਵਰਤੈ ॥
tū karatā sabh kish jānadā jō jīā andar varatai .
You, O Creator, know everything which occurs within our beings.
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਅਗਣਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਗਣਤੈ ॥
tū karatā āp aganat hai sabh jag vich ganatai .
You Yourself, O Creator, are incalculable, while the entire world is within the realm of calculation.
ਸਭੁ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਣਤੈ ॥
sabh kītā tērā varatadā sabh tērī banatai .
Everything happens according to Your Will; You created all.
ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਇਕੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਚਲਤੈ ॥
tū ghat ghat ik varatadā sach sāhib chalatai .
You are the One, pervading in each and every heart; O True Lord and Master, this is Your play.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨੋ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਪਰਤੈ ॥੨੪॥
satigur nō milē s har milē nāhī kisai paratai .24.
One who meets the True Guru meets the Lord; no one can turn him away. ||24||

Shalok, Fourth Mehl:
ਮੈ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਖੋਜਿ ਖੋਜੇਦਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਧਾ ਲੋੜਿ ॥
mai man tan khōj khōjēdiā sō prabh ladhā lōr .
Searching and examining my mind and body, I have found that God, whom I longed for.
ਵਿਸਟੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਿਤਾ ਜੋੜਿ ॥੧॥
visat gurū mai pāiā jin har prabh ditā jōr .1.
I have found the Guru, the Divine Intermediary, who has united me with the Lord God. ||1||
ਮਃ ੩ ॥
mah 3 .
Third Mehl:
ਮਾਇਆਧਾਰੀ ਅਤਿ ਅੰਨਾ ਬੋਲਾ ॥
māiādhārī at annā bōlā .
One who is attached to Maya is totally blind and deaf.
ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਸੁਣਈ ਬਹੁ ਰੋਲ ਘਚੋਲਾ ॥
sabad n sunaī bah rōl ghachōlā .
He does not listen to the Word of the Shabad; he makes a great uproar and tumult.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਪੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
guramukh jāpai sabad liv lāi .
The Gurmukhs chant and meditate on the Shabad, and lovingly center their consciousness on it.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਮੰਨੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
har nām sun mannē har nām samāi .
They hear and believe in the Name of the Lord; they are absorbed in the Name of the Lord.
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੁ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥
jō tis bhāvai s karē karāiā .
Whatever pleases God, He causes that to be done.
ਨਾਨਕ ਵਜਦਾ ਜੰਤੁ ਵਜਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
nānak vajadā jant vajāiā .2.
O Nanak, human beings are the instruments which vibrate as God plays them. ||2||
