ਜਿਨਾ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਧਾਨ ॥
jinā sās girās n visarai sē pūrē purakh paradhān .
Those who do not forget the Lord, with each and every breath and morsel of food, are the perfect and famous persons.
ਕਰਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਲਗੈ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
karamī satigur pāīai anadin lagai dhiān .
By His Grace they find the True Guru; night and day, they meditate.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਈ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
tin kī sangat mil rahā daragah pāī mān .
I join the society of those persons, and in so doing, I am honored in the Court of the Lord.
ਸਉਦੇ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਉਚਰਹਿ ਉਠਦੇ ਭੀ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰੇਨਿ ॥
saudē vāh vāh ucharah uthadē bhī vāh karēn .
While asleep, they chant, "Waaho! Waaho!", and while awake, they chant, "Waaho!" as well.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਜਿ ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਸੰਮਾਲੇਨਿ ॥੧॥
nānak tē mukh ujalē j nit uth sanmālēn .1.
O Nanak, radiant are the faces of those, who rise up early each day, and dwell upon the Lord. ||1||

Fourth Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
satigur sēvīai āpanā pāīai nām apār .
Serving his True Guru, one obtains the Naam, the Name of the Infinite Lord.
ਭਉਜਲਿ ਡੁਬਦਿਆ ਕਢਿ ਲਏ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥
bhaujal dubadiā kadh laē har dāt karē dātār .
The drowning person is lifted up and out of the terrifying world-ocean; the Great Giver gives the gift of the Lord's Name.
ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੇ ਸਾਹ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ ॥
dhann dhann sē sāh hai j nām karah vāpār .
Blessed, blessed are those bankers who trade the Naam.
ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਸਿਖ ਆਵਦੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਘਾਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
vanajārē sikh āvadē sabad laghāvanahār .
The Sikhs, the traders come, and through the Word of His Shabad, they are carried across.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਭਈ ਤਿਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
jan nānak jin kau kripā bhaī tin sēviā sirajanahār .2.
O servant Nanak, they alone serve the Creator Lord, who are blessed by His Grace. ||2||

Pauree:
ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਭਗਤ ਹਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ॥
sach sachē kē jan bhagat hah sach sachā jinī arādhiā .
Those who truly worship and adore the True Lord, are truly the humble devotees of the True Lord.
ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਢੰਢੋਲਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਲਾਧਿਆ ॥
jin guramukh khōj dhandhōliā tin andarah hī sach lādhiā .
Those Gurmukhs who search and seek, find the True One within themselves.
ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਤਿਨੀ ਸਾਧਿਆ ॥
sach sāhib sach jinī sēviā kāl kantak mār tinī sādhiā .
Those who truly serve their True Lord and Master, overwhelm and conquer Death, the torturer.
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਭ ਦੂ ਵਡਾ ਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੇ ਸਚਿ ਰਲਾਧਿਆ ॥
sach sachā sabh dū vadā hai sach sēvan sē sach ralādhiā .
The True One is truly the greatest of all; those who serve the True One are blended with the True One.
ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਨੋ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸੇਵਿ ਫਲਾਧਿਆ ॥੨੨॥
sach sachē nō sābās hai sach sachā sēv phalādhiā .22.
Blessed and acclaimed is the Truest of the True; serving the Truest of the True, one blossoms forth in fruition. ||22||

ਕਿਆ ਸਵਣਾ ਕਿਆ ਜਾਗਣਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
kiā savanā kiā jāganā guramukh tē paravān .
Who is asleep, and who is awake? Those who are Gurmukh are approved.
