ਲਾਭੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤੋਟਾ ਹਿਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਤਿਵੰਤ ॥
lābh milai tōtā hirai har daragah pativant .
You shall earn profit and suffer no loss, and in the Court of the Lord you shall be honored.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਵੈ ਸਾਚ ਸਾਹ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥
rām nām dhan sanchavai sāch sāh bhagavant .
Those who gather in the riches of the Lord's Name are truly wealthy, and very blessed.
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਹੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਰੀਤਿ ॥
ūthat baithat har bhajah sādhū sang parīt .
So, when standing up and sitting down, vibrate upon the Lord, and cherish the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਛੁਟਿ ਗਈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਸੇ ਚੀਤਿ ॥੨॥
nānak duramat shut gaī pārabraham basē chīt .2.
O Nanak, evil-mindedness is eradicated, when the Supreme Lord God comes to dwell in the mind. ||2||

ਕਰਉ ਬੰਦਨਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਵਾਰ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਉ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥
karau bandanā anik vār saran parau har rāi .
Bow in humility to the Lord, over and over again, and enter the Sanctuary of the Lord, our King.
ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਭਾਉ ਮਿਟਾਇ ॥੨॥
bhram katīai nānak sādhasang dutīā bhāu mitāi .2.
Doubt is eradicated, O Nanak, in the Company of the Holy, and the love of duality is eliminated. ||2||

ਦੁਤੀਆ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿ ਨੀਤ ॥
dutīā duramat dūr kar gur sēvā kar nīt .
The second day of the lunar cycle: Get rid of your evil-mindedness, and serve the Guru continually.
ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਸੈ ਤਜਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੀਤ ॥
rām ratan man tan basai taj kām krōdh lōbh mīt .
The jewel of the Lord's Name shall come to dwell in your mind and body, when you renounce sexual desire, anger and greed, O my friend.
ਮਰਣੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਕਲੇਸ ॥
maran mitai jīvan milai binasah sagal kalēs .
Conquer death and obtain eternal life; all your troubles will depart.
ਆਪੁ ਤਜਹੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਜਹੁ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਪਰਵੇਸ ॥
āp tajah gōbind bhajah bhāu bhagat paravēs .
Renounce your self-conceit and vibrate upon the Lord of the Universe; loving devotion to Him shall permeate your being.
