ਠਠਾ ਮਨੂਆ ਠਾਹਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ਜੋ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਏਕਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਹੀ ॥
thathā manūā thāhah nāhī . jō sagal tiāg ēkah lapatāhī .
T'HAT'HA: Those who have abandoned all else, and who cling to the One Lord alone, do not make trouble for anyone's mind.
ਠਹਕਿ ਠਹਕਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੂਏ ॥
thahak thahak māiā sang mūē .
Those who are totally absorbed and preoccupied with Maya are dead;
ਉਆ ਕੈ ਕੁਸਲ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਹੂਏ ॥
uā kai kusal n katahū hūē .
they do not find happiness anywhere.
ਠਾਂਢਿ ਪਰੀ ਸੰਤਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਿਆ ॥
thānhdh parī santah sang basiā .
One who dwells in the Society of the Saints finds a great peace;
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਹਾ ਜੀਅ ਰਸਿਆ ॥
anmrit nām tahā jī rasiā .
the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam becomes sweet to his soul.
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
thākur apunē jō jan bhāiā .
That humble being, who is pleasing to his Lord and Master
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਆ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲਾਇਆ ॥੨੮॥
nānak uā kā man sītalāiā .28.
- O Nanak, his mind is cooled and soothed. ||28||

Shalok:
ਠਾਕ ਨ ਹੋਤੀ ਤਿਨਹੁ ਦਰਿ ਜਿਹ ਹੋਵਹੁ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ॥
thāk n hōtī tinah dar jih hōvah suprasann .
Those beings, with whom the Lord is thoroughly pleased, meet with no obstacles at His Door.
ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਧਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ॥੧॥
jō jan prabh apunē karē nānak tē dhan dhann .1.
Those humble beings whom God has made His own, O Nanak, are blessed, so very blessed. ||1||
