ਝਾਲਾਘੇ ਉਠਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਆਰਾਧਿ ॥
jhālāghē uth nām jap nis bāsur ārādh .
Rise early in the morning, and chant the Naam; worship and adore the Lord, night and day.
ਕਾਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੁਝੈ ਨ ਬਿਆਪਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਟੈ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥੧॥
kārhā tujhai n biāpaī nānak mitai upādh .1.
Anxiety shall not afflict you, O Nanak, and your misfortune shall vanish. ||1||

ਝਝਾ ਝੂਰਨੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਤੁਮਾਰੋ ॥
jhajhā jhūran mitai tumārō .
JHAJHA: Your sorrows shall depart,
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੋ ॥
rām nām siu kar biuhārō .
when you deal with the Lord's Name.
ਝੂਰਤ ਝੂਰਤ ਸਾਕਤ ਮੂਆ ॥
jhūrat jhūrat sākat mūā .
The faithless cynic dies in sorrow and pain;
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਹੋਤ ਭਾਉ ਬੀਆ ॥
jā kai ridai hōt bhāu bīā .
his heart is filled with the love of duality.
ਝਰਹਿ ਕਸੰਮਲ ਪਾਪ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨੂਆ ॥
jharah kasanmal pāp tērē manūā .
Your evil deeds and sins shall fall away, O my mind,
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਥਾ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਨੂਆ ॥
anmrit kathā santasang sunūā .

ਝਰਹਿ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦ੍ਰੁਸਟਾਈ ॥
jharah kām krōdh drusatāī .
Sexual desire, anger and wickedness fall away,
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੨੫॥
nānak jā kau kripā gusāī .25.
O Nanak, from those who are blessed by the Mercy of the Lord of the World. ||25||
