Pauree:
ਯਯਾ ਜਾਰਉ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੋਊ ॥
yayā jārau duramat dōū .
YAYYA: Burn away duality and evil-mindedness.
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜੇ ਸੋਊ ॥
tisah tiāg sukh sahajē sōū .
Give them up, and sleep in intuitive peace and poise.
ਯਯਾ ਜਾਇ ਪਰਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਸਰਨਾ ॥
yayā jāi parah sant saranā .
Yaya: Go, and seek the Sanctuary of the Saints;
ਜਿਹ ਆਸਰ ਇਆ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰਨਾ ॥
jih āsar iā bhavajal taranā .
with their help, you shall cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਯਯਾ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਸੋਊ ॥ ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਲੇ ਮਨਹਿ ਪਰੋਊ ॥
yayā janam n āvai sōū . ēk nām lē manah parōū .
Yaya: One who weaves the One Name into his heart, does not have to take birth again.
ਯਯਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਨ ਹਾਰੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ॥
yayā janam n hārīai gur pūrē kī tēk .
Yaya: This human life shall not be wasted, if you take the Support of the Perfect Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਹ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਏਕ ॥੧੪॥
nānak tih sukh pāiā jā kai hīarai ēk .14.
O Nanak, one whose heart is filled with the One Lord finds peace. ||14||

ਯਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ॥ ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੁਝੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥੧॥
yās japat man hōi anand binasai dūjā bhāu . dūkh darad trisanā bujhai nānak nām samāu .1.
Chanting it, the mind is filled with bliss; love of duality is eliminated, and pain, distress and desires are quenched. O Nanak, immerse yourself in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
