ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੀਏ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
bhram bhau kāt kīē niravairē jīu .
Dispelling my doubts and fears, the Guru has rid me of hatred.
ਗੁਰ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
gur man kī ās pūrāī jīu .4.
The Guru has fulfilled the desires of my mind. ||4||
ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਉ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
jin nāu pāiā sō dhanavantā jīu .
One who has obtained the Name is wealthy.
ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸੁ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
jin prabh dhiāiā s sōbhāvantā jīu .
One who meditates on God is glorified.
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਭ ਸੁਕਰਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
jis sādhū sangat tis sabh sukaranī jīu .
Sublime are all the actions of those who join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥੧॥੧੬੬॥
jan nānak sahaj samāī jīu .5.1.166.
Servant Nanak is intuitively absorbed into the Lord. ||5||1||166||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਰਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥

O Merciful to the meek, O Dear Lord King,
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
kōt janā kar sēv lagāiā jīu .
You have engaged millions of people in Your Service.
ਭਗਤ ਵਛਲੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਰਖਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
bhagat vashal tērā birad rakhāiā jīu .
You are the Lover of Your devotees; this is Your Nature.
ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭਨੀ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
pūran sabhanī jāī jīu .1.
You are totally pervading all places. ||1||
ਕਿਉ ਪੇਖਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਕਵਣ ਸੁਕਰਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
kiu pēkhā prītam kavan sukaranī jīu .
How can I behold my Beloved? What is that way of life?
ਸੰਤਾ ਦਾਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਚਰਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
santā dāsī sēvā charanī jīu .
Become the slave of the Saints, and serve at their feet.
ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਵਤਾਈ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
ih jīu vatāī bal bal jāī jīu .
I dedicate this soul; I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them.
ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਉ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
tis niv niv lāgau pāī jīu .2.
Bowing low, I fall at the Feet of the Lord. ||2||
ਪੋਥੀ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਬੇਦ ਖੋਜੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
pōthī pandit bēd khōjantā jīu .
The Pandits, the religious scholars, study the books of the Vedas.
ਹੋਇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਵੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
hōi bairāgī tīrath nāvantā jīu .
Some become renunciates, and bathe at sacred shrines of pilgrimage.
ਗੀਤ ਨਾਦ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਵੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
gīt nād kīratan gāvantā jīu .
Some sing tunes and melodies and songs.
ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
har nirabhau nām dhiāī jīu .3.
But I meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Fearless Lord. ||3||
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
bhaē kripāl suāmī mērē jīu .
My Lord and Master has become merciful to me.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਿਤ ਲਗਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪੈਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
patit pavit lag gur kē pairē jīu .
I was a sinner, and I have been sanctified, taking to the Guru's Feet.
