Gauree, Fifth Mehl:
ਧੰਨੁ ਇਹੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
dhann ih thān gōvind gun gāē .
Blessed is this place, where the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe are sung.
ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਬਸਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kusal khēm prabh āp basāē .1. rahāu .
God Himself bestows peace and pleasure. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਪਤਿ ਤਹਾ ਜਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
bipat tahā jahā har simaran nāhī .
Misfortune occurs where the Lord is not remembered in meditation.
ਕੋਟਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਜਹ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
kōt anand jah har gun gāhī .1.
There are millions of joys where the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਿਐ ਦੁਖ ਰੋਗ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥
har bisariai dukh rōg ghanērē .
Forgetting the Lord, all sorts of pains and diseases come.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਮੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਨੇਰੇ ॥੨॥
prabh sēvā jam lagai n nērē .2.
Serving God, the Messenger of Death will not even approach you. ||2||
ਸੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
sō vadabhāgī nihachal thān .
Very blessed, stable and sublime is that place,
ਜਹ ਜਪੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੩॥
jah japīai prabh kēval nām .3.
where the Name of God alone is chanted. ||3||
ਜਹ ਜਾਈਐ ਤਹ ਨਾਲਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
jah jāīai tah nāl mērā suāmī .
Wherever I go, my Lord and Master is with me.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੪॥੮੯॥੧੫੮॥
nānak kau miliā antarajāmī .4.89.158.
Nanak has met the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||4||89||158||
