ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
kal kalēs gur sabad nivārē .
The Word of the Guru's Shabad quiets worries and troubles.
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
āvan jān rahē sukh sārē .1.
Coming and going ceases, and all comforts are obtained. ||1||
ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
bhai binasē nirabhau har dhiāiā .
Fear is dispelled, meditating on the Fearless Lord.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sādhasang har kē gun gāiā .1. rahāu .
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
charan kaval rid antar dhārē .
I have enshrined the Lotus Feet of the Lord within my heart.
ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਗੁਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
agan sāgar gur pār utārē .2.
The Guru has carried me across the ocean of fire. ||2||
ਬੂਡਤ ਜਾਤ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢੇ ॥
būdat jāt pūrai gur kādhē .
I was sinking down, and the Perfect Guru pulled me out.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਢੇ ॥੩॥
janam janam kē tūtē gādhē .3.
I was cut off from the Lord for countless incarnations, and now the Guru united me with Him again. ||3||
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
kah nānak tis gur balihārī .
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru;
ਜਿਸੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੫੬॥੧੨੫॥
jis bhētat gat bhaī hamārī .4.56.125.
meeting Him, I have been saved. ||4||56||125||
