Gauree, Fifth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਜਪਤ ਕਮਲੁ ਪਰਗਾਸੈ ॥
har gun japat kamal paragāsai .
Meditating on the Glories of the Lord, the heart-lotus blossoms radiantly.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਸਭ ਨਾਸੈ ॥੧॥
har simarat trās sabh nāsai .1.
Remembering the Lord in meditation, all fears are dispelled. ||1||
ਸਾ ਮਤਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
sā mat pūrī jit har gun gāvai .
Perfect is that intellect, by which the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung.
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
vadai bhāg sādhū sang pāvai .1. rahāu .
By great good fortune, one finds the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
sādhasang pāīai nidh nāmā .
In the Saadh Sangat, the treasure of the Name is obtained.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
sādhasang pūran sabh kāmā .2.
In the Saadh Sangat, all one's works are brought to fruition. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
har kī bhagat janam paravān .
Through devotion to the Lord, one's life is approved.
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੁ ॥੩॥
gur kirapā tē nām vakhān .3.
By Guru's Grace, one chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
kah nānak sō jan paravān .
Says Nanak, that humble being is accepted,
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸੈ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥੪॥੪੭॥੧੧੬॥
jā kai ridai vasai bhagavān .4.47.116.
within whose heart the Lord God abides. ||4||47||116||
