ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥
jā kai dukh sukh sam kar jāpai .
Those who look alike upon pleasure and pain
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਕਾੜਾ ਕਹਾ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥੧॥
tā kau kārā kahā biāpai .1.
- how can anxiety touch them? ||1||
ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sahaj anand har sādhū māh .
The Lord's Holy Saints abide in celestial bliss.
ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
āgiākārī har har rāi .1. rahāu .
They remain obedient to the Lord, the Sovereign Lord King. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
jā kai achint vasai man āi .
Those who have the Carefree Lord abiding in their minds
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
tā kau chintā katahūn nāh .2.
- no cares will ever bother them. ||2||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਭਰਮਾ ॥
jā kai binasiō man tē bharamā .
Those who have banished doubt from their minds
ਤਾ ਕੈ ਕਛੂ ਨਾਹੀ ਡਰੁ ਜਮਾ ॥੩॥
tā kai kashū nāhī dar jamā .3.
are not afraid of death at all. ||3||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
jā kai hiradai dīō gur nāmā .
Those whose hearts are filled with the Lord's Name by the Guru
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੩੪॥੧੦੩॥
kah nānak tā kai sagal nidhānā .4.34.103.
- says Nanak, all treasures come to them. ||4||34||103||
