ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਜਹੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿ ॥
prabh pūjahō nām arādh .
Worship God, and adore His Name.
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗਿ ॥
gur satigur charanī lāg .
Grasp the Feet of the Guru, the True Guru.
ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਗਾਧਿ ॥
har pāvah man agādh .
The Unfathomable Lord shall come into your mind,
ਜਗੁ ਜੀਤੋ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾਧਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jag jītō hō hō gur kirapādh .1. rahāu .
and by Guru's Grace, you shall be victorious in this world. ||1||Pause||
ਅਨਿਕ ਪੂਜਾ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਖੋਜੀ ਸਾ ਪੂਜਾ ਜਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਾਸਿ ॥
anik pūjā mai bah bidh khōjī sā pūjā j har bhāvās .
I have studied countless ways of worship in all sorts of ways, but that alone is worship, which is pleasing to the Lord's Will.
ਮਾਟੀ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਜੋਰੀ ਕਿਆ ਏਹ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਸਿ ॥
mātī kī ih putarī jōrī kiā ēh karam kamās .
This body-puppet is made of clay - what can it do by itself?
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਸਿ ॥੧॥
prabh bāh pakar jis mārag pāvah sō tudh jant milās .1.
O God, those humble beings meet You, whom You grasp by the arm, and place on the Path. ||1||
ਅਵਰ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਇਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਆਸ ॥
avar ōt mai kōi n sūjhai ik har kī ōt mai ās .
I do not know of any other support; O Lord, You are my only Hope and Support.
ਕਿਆ ਦੀਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
kiā dīn karē aradās .
I am meek and poor - what prayer can I offer?
ਜਉ ਸਭ ਘਟਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥
jau sabh ghat prabhū nivās .
God abides in every heart.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਨਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
prabh charanan kī man piās .
My mind is thirsty for the Feet of God.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਹੀਅਤੁ ਹੈ ਤੁਮ੍ਹਰਾ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੩॥
jan nānak dās kahīat hai tumharā hau bal bal sad bal jās .2.1.33.
Servant Nanak, Your slave, speaks: I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, forever a sacrifice to You. ||2||1||33||
