ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
charan saran gōpāl tērī .
I seek the Sanctuary of Your Lotus Feet, O Lord of the World.
ਮੋਹ ਮਾਨ ਧੋਹ ਭਰਮ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਜੈ ਕਾਟਿ ਬੇਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mōh mān dhōh bharam rākh lījai kāt bērī .1. rahāu .
Save me from emotional attachment, pride, deception and doubt; please cut away these ropes which bind me. ||1||Pause||
ਬੂਡਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ॥
būdat sansār sāgar .
I am drowning in the world-ocean.
ਉਧਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਰਤਨਾਗਰ ॥੧॥
udharē har simar ratanāgar .1.
Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, the Source of Jewels, I am saved. ||1||
ਸੀਤਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
sītalā har nām tērā .
Your Name, Lord, is cooling and soothing.
ਪੂਰਨੋ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੨॥
pūranō thākur prabh mērā .2.
God, my Lord and Master, is Perfect. ||2||
ਦੀਨ ਦਰਦ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਤਾਰਨ ॥
dīn darad nivār tāran .
You are the Deliverer, the Destroyer of the sufferings of the meek and the poor.
ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਨ ॥੩॥
har kripā nidh patit udhāran .3.
The Lord is the Treasure of Mercy, the Saving Grace of sinners. ||3||
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਦੂਖ ਕਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ॥
kōt janam dūkh kar pāiō .
I have suffered the pains of millions of incarnations.
ਸੁਖੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੭॥
sukhī nānak gur nām drirāiō .4.6.17.
Nanak is at peace; the Guru has implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me. ||4||6||17||
