nānak dās daras prabh jāchai man tan kō ādhār .2.78.101.
Slave Nanak asks for the Blessed Vision of God. It is the Support of his mind and body. ||2||78||101||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਆਤੁਰੁ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥
ātur nām bin sansār .
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the world is miserable.
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਤ ਕੂਕਰੀ ਆਸਾ ਇਤੁ ਲਾਗੋ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਛਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tripat n hōvat kūkarī āsā it lāgō bikhiā shār .1. rahāu .
Like a dog, its desires are never satisfied; it clings to the ashes of corruption. ||1||Pause||
ਪਾਇ ਠਗਉਰੀ ਆਪਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਓ ਜਨਮਤ ਬਾਰੋ ਬਾਰ ॥
pāi thagaurī āp bhulāiō janamat bārō bār .
Administering the intoxicating drug, God Himself leads the mortals astray; they are reincarnated again and again.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਜਮਕੰਕਰ ਕਰਤ ਖੁਆਰ ॥੧॥
har kā simaran nimakh n simariō jamakankar karat khuār .1.
He does not meditate in remembrance on the Lord, even for an instant, and so the Messenger of Death makes him suffer. ||1||
ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਤੇਰਿਆ ਸੰਤਹ ਕੀ ਰਾਵਾਰ ॥
hōh kripāl dīn dukh bhanjan tēriā santah kī rāvār .
Please be merciful to me, O Destroyer of the pains of the meek and the poor; let me be the dust of the feet of the Saints.
