ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਬਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
jā kai rām kō bal hōi .
One who has the Lord's Power on his side
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal manōrath pūran tāhū kē dūkh n biāpai kōi .1. rahāu .
- all his desires are fulfilled, and no pain afflicts him. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਨਿਜੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਸੁਣਿ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
jō jan bhagat dās nij prabh kā sun jīvānh tis sōi .
That humble devotee is a slave of his God, who listens to Him, and so lives.
ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਉ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਨ ਕੌ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
udam karau darasan pēkhan kau karam parāpat hōi .1.
I have made the effort to gaze upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; it is obtained only by good karma. ||1||
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਉ ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
gur parasādī drisat nihārau dūsar nāhī kōi .
It is only by Guru's Grace that I see His Vision with my eyes which none can equal.
ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਚਰਨ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਧੋਇ ॥੨॥੭੪॥੯੭॥
dān dēh nānak apanē kau charan jīvānh sant dhōi .2.74.97.
Please bless Nanak with this Gift, that he may wash the Feet of the Saints, and so live. ||2||74||97||
