Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਆਧਾਰੋ ॥
anmrit nām manah ādhārō .
The Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Support of the mind.
ਜਿਨ ਦੀਆ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jin dīā tis kai kurabānai gur pūrē namasakārō .1. rahāu .
I am a sacrifice to the One who gave it to me; I humbly bow to the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਬੂਝੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਰੋ ॥
būjhī trisanā sahaj suhēlā kām krōdh bikh jārō .
My thirst is quenched, and I have been intuitively embellished. The poisons of sexual desire and anger have been burnt away.
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਬਸੈ ਇਹ ਠਾਹਰ ਜਹ ਆਸਨੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੋ ॥੧॥
āi n jāi basai ih thāhar jah āsan nirankārō .1.
This mind does not come and go; it abides in that place, where the Formless Lord sits. ||1||
ਏਕੈ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਏਕੈ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਏਕੈ ਧੁੰਧੂਕਾਰੋ ॥
ēkai paragat ēkai gupatā ēkai dhundhūkārō .
The One Lord is manifest and radiant; the One Lord is hidden and mysterious. The One Lord is abysmal darkness.
ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੋ ॥੨॥੩੧॥੫੪॥
ād madh ant prabh sōī kah nānak sāch bīchārō .2.31.54.
From the beginning, throughout the middle and until the end, is God. Says Nanak, reflect on the Truth. ||2||31||54||
