ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਕੇ ॥
har jan sagal udhārē sang kē .
The Lord's humble servant saves those who accompany him.
ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਮਨ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhaē punīt pavitr man janam janam kē dukh harē .1. rahāu .
Their minds are sanctified and rendered pure, and they are rid of the pains of countless incarnations. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸੇ ਤਰੇ ॥
mārag chalē tinhī sukh pāiā jinh siu gōsat sē tarē .
Those who walk on the path find peace; they are saved, along with those who speak with them.
ਬੂਡਤ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥੧॥
būdat ghōr andh kūp mah tē sādhū sang pār parē .1.
Even those who are drowning in the horrible, deep dark pit are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਭਾਗ ਬਡੇ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੁਖ ਜੁਰੇ ॥
jinh kē bhāg badē hai bhāī tinh sādhū sang mukh jurē .
Those who have such high destiny turn their faces toward the Saadh Sangat.
ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੨॥
tinh kī dhūr bānhshai nit nānak prabh mērā kirapā karē .2.3.22.
Nanak longs for the dust of their feet; O God, please shower Your Mercy on me! ||2||3||22||
