ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
satigur mūrat kau bal jāu .
I am a sacrifice to the Image of the True Guru.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਿਆਸ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਕੀ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕਦਿ ਪਾਂਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
antar piās chātrik jiu jal kī saphal darasan kad pānhu .1. rahāu .
My inner being is filled with a great thirst, like that of the song-bird for water. When shall I find the Fruitful Vision of His Darshan? ||1||Pause||
ਅਨਾਥਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਥੁ ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
anāthā kō nāth sarab pratipālak bhagat vashal har nāu .
He is the Master of the masterless, the Cherisher of all. He is the Lover of the devotees of His Name.
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਰਾਖੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਦੇਹਿ ਅਸਰਾਉ ॥੧॥
jā kau kōi n rākhai prānī tis tū dēh asarāu .1.
That mortal, whom no one can protect - You bless him with Your Support, O Lord. ||1||
ਨਿਧਰਿਆ ਧਰ ਨਿਗਤਿਆ ਗਤਿ ਨਿਥਾਵਿਆ ਤੂ ਥਾਉ ॥
nidhariā dhar nigatiā gat nithāviā tū thāu .
Support of the unsupported, Saving Grace of the unsaved, Home of the homeless.
ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਜਾਂਉ ਤਹਾਂ ਤੂ ਸੰਗੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਉ ॥੨॥
dah dis jānhu tahānh tū sangē tērī kīrat karam kamāu .2.
Wherever I go in the ten directions, You are there with me. The only thing I do is sing the Kirtan of Your Praises. ||2||
ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਲਾਖ ਲਾਖ ਤੇ ਏਕਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਾਉ ॥
ēkas tē lākh lākh tē ēkā tērī gat mit kah n sakāu .
From Your Oneness, You become tens of thousands, and from tens of thousands, You become One. I cannot describe Your state and extent.
ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਖੇਲੁ ਦਿਖਾਉ ॥੩॥
tū bēant tērī mit nahī pāīai sabh tērō khēl dikhāu .3.
You are Infinite - Your value cannot be appraised. Everything I see is Your play. ||3||
ਸਾਧਨ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਸਾਧ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧਨ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਉ ॥
sādhan kā sang sādh siu gōsat har sādhan siu liv lāu .
I speak with the Company of the Holy; I am in love with the Holy people of the Lord.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ॥੪॥੧॥
jan nānak pāiā hai guramat har dēh daras man chāu .4.1.
Servant Nanak has found the Lord through the Guru's Teachings; please bless me with Your Blessed Vision; O Lord, my mind yearns for it. ||4||1||
