ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
bāh pakar bhavajal nisatāriō .2.
Taking me by the arm, He saves me and carries me across the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰੇ ॥
prabh kāt mail niramal karē .
God has rid me of my filth, and made me stainless and pure.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਰੇ ॥੩॥
gur pūrē kī saranī parē .3.
I have sought the Sanctuary of the Perfect Guru. ||3||
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੇ ॥
āp karah āp karanaihārē .
He Himself does, and causes everything to be done.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੭॥
kar kirapā nānak udhārē .4.4.17.
By His Grace, O Nanak, He saves us. ||4||4||17||
ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
basant mahalā 5 .
Basant, Fifth Mehl:
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਕੀਨ੍ਹੇ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
hukam kar kīnhē nihāl .
By His Will, He makes us happy.
ਅਪਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਭਇਆ ਦਇਆਲੁ ॥੧॥
apanē sēvak kau bhaiā daiāl .1.
He shows Mercy to His servant. ||1||
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਆ ॥
gur pūrai sabh pūrā kīā .
The Perfect Guru makes everything perfect.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
anmrit nām rid mah dīā .1. rahāu .
He implants the Amrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, in the heart. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਮੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
karam dharam mērā kash n bīchāriō .
He does not consider the karma of my actions, or my Dharma, my spiritual practice.
