ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥
nadar karē chūkai abhimān .
When the Lord bestows His Glance of Grace, egotism is eradicated.
ਸਾਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵੈ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
sāchī daragah pāvai mān .
Then, the mortal is honored in the Court of the True Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਦ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥
har jīu vēkhai sad hajūr .
He sees the Dear Lord always close at hand, ever-present.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੩॥
gur kai sabad rahiā bharapūr .3.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, he sees the Lord pervading and permeating all. ||3||
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਕੀ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥
jī jant kī karē pratipāl .
The Lord cherishes all beings and creatures.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਦ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਲ ॥
gur parasādī sad samhāl .
By Guru's Grace, contemplate Him forever.
ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
dar sāchai pat siu ghar jāi .
You shall go to your true home in the Lord's Court with honor.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਾਈ ਪਾਇ ॥੪॥੩॥
nānak nām vadāī pāi .4.3.
O Nanak, through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, you shall be blessed with glorious greatness. ||4||3||
ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥
basant mahalā 3 .
Basant, Third Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੇ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਲੋਗੁ ॥
har sēvē sō har kā lōg .
One who serves the Lord is the Lord's person.
ਸਾਚੁ ਸਹਜੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਗੁ ॥
sāch sahaj kadē n hōvai sōg .
He dwells in intuitive peace, and never suffers in sorrow.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੁਏ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
manamukh muē nāhī har man māh .
The self-willed manmukhs are dead; the Lord is not within their minds.
ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਭੀ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
mar mar janmah bhī mar jāh .1.
They die and die again and again, and are reincarnated, only to die once more. ||1||
ਸੇ ਜਨ ਜੀਵੇ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sē jan jīvē jin har man māh .
They alone are alive, whose minds are filled with the Lord.
ਸਾਚੁ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਲਹਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sāch samhālah sāch samāh .1. rahāu .
They contemplate the True Lord, and are absorbed in the True Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਨ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਤੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
har n sēvah tē har tē dūr .
Those who do not serve the Lord are far away from the Lord.
ਦਿਸੰਤਰੁ ਭਵਹਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
disantar bhavah sir pāvah dhūr .
They wander in foreign lands, with dust thrown on their heads.
ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਨ ਲੀਏ ਲਾਇ ॥
har āpē jan līē lāi .
The Lord Himself enjoins His humble servants to serve Him.
ਤਿਨ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
tin sadā sukh hai til n tamāi .2.
They live in peace forever, and have no greed at all. ||2||
