ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār sat nām karatā purakh nirabhau niravair akāl mūrat ajūnī saibhan gur prasād .

ਮਾਹਾ ਮਾਹ ਮੁਮਾਰਖੀ ਚੜਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਬਸੰਤੁ ॥
māhā māh mumārakhī chariā sadā basant .
Among the months, blessed is this month, when spring always comes.
ਪਰਫੜੁ ਚਿਤ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਸੋਇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ॥੧॥
paraphar chit samāl sōi sadā sadā gōbind .1.
Blossom forth, O my consciousness, contemplating the Lord of the Universe, forever and ever. ||1||
ਭੋਲਿਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ॥
bhōliā haumai surat visār .
O ignorant one, forget your egotistical intellect.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਮਨ ਗੁਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਗੁਣੁ ਲੈ ਸਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
haumai mār bīchār man gun vich gun lai sār .1. rahāu .
Subdue your ego, and contemplate Him in your mind; gather in the virtues of the Sublime, Virtuous Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਮ ਪੇਡੁ ਸਾਖਾ ਹਰੀ ਧਰਮੁ ਫੁਲੁ ਫਲੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
karam pēd sākhā harī dharam phul phal giān .
Karma is the tree, the Lord's Name the branches, Dharmic faith the flowers, and spiritual wisdom the fruit.
ਪਤ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਛਾਵ ਘਣੀ ਚੂਕਾ ਮਨ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥੨॥
pat parāpat shāv ghanī chūkā man abhimān .2.
Realization of the Lord are the leaves, and eradication of the pride of the mind is the shade. ||2||
ਅਖੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੰਨੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਆਖਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
akhī kudarat kannī bānī mukh ākhan sach nām .
Whoever sees the Lord's Creative Power with his eyes, and hears the Guru's Bani with his ears, and utters the True Name with his mouth,
ਪਤਿ ਕਾ ਧਨੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਆ ਲਾਗਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੩॥
pat kā dhan pūrā hōā lāgā sahaj dhiān .3.
attains the perfect wealth of honor, and intuitively focuses his meditation on the Lord. ||3||
ਮਾਹਾ ਰੁਤੀ ਆਵਣਾ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
māhā rutī āvanā vēkhah karam kamāi .
The months and the seasons come; see, and do your deeds.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰੇ ਨ ਸੂਕਹੀ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੧॥
nānak harē n sūkahī j guramukh rahē samāi .4.1.
O Nanak, those Gurmukhs who remain merged in the Lord do not wither away; they remain green forever. ||4||1||
