ਤਬ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾਜੁ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥
tab prabh kāj savārah āi .1.
then God comes and resolves his affairs. ||1||
ਐਸਾ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਬਿਚਾਰੁ ਮਨਾ ॥
aisā giān bichār manā .
Contemplate such spiritual wisdom, O mortal man.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਨ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har kī n simarah dukh bhanjanā .1. rahāu .
Why not meditate in remembrance on the Lord, the Destroyer of pain? ||1||Pause||
ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਸਿੰਘੁ ਰਹੈ ਬਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
jab lag singh rahai ban māh .
As long as the tiger lives in the forest,
ਤਬ ਲਗੁ ਬਨੁ ਫੂਲੈ ਹੀ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
tab lag ban phūlai hī nāh .
the forest does not flower.
ਜਬ ਹੀ ਸਿਆਰੁ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਉ ਖਾਇ ॥
jab hī siār singh kau khāi .
But when the jackal eats the tiger,
ਫੂਲਿ ਰਹੀ ਸਗਲੀ ਬਨਰਾਇ ॥੨॥
phūl rahī sagalī banarāi .2.
then the entire forest flowers. ||2||
ਜੀਤੋ ਬੂਡੈ ਹਾਰੋ ਤਿਰੈ ॥
jītō būdai hārō tirai .
The victorious are drowned, while the defeated swim across.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਰੈ ॥
gur parasādī pār utarai .
By Guru's Grace, one crosses over and is saved.
ਦਾਸੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਕਹੈ ਸਮਝਾਇ ॥
dās kabīr kahai samajhāi .
Slave Kabeer speaks and teaches:
ਕੇਵਲ ਰਾਮ ਰਹਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੩॥੬॥੧੪॥
kēval rām rahah liv lāi .3.6.14.
remain lovingly absorbed, attuned to the Lord alone. ||3||6||14||
ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰੈ ॥
jab lag mērī mērī karai .
As long as he cries out, "Mine! Mine!",
ਤਬ ਲਗੁ ਕਾਜੁ ਏਕੁ ਨਹੀ ਸਰੈ ॥
tab lag kāj ēk nahī sarai .
none of his tasks is accomplished.
ਜਬ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
jab mērī mērī mit jāi .
When such possessiveness is erased and removed,
