ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
nindak kā kahiā kōi n mānai .
No one belives what the slanderer says.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਝੂਠੁ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਨੇ ॥
nindak jhūth bōl pashutānē .
The slanderer tells lies, and later regrets and repents.
ਹਾਥ ਪਛੋਰਹਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਧਰਨਿ ਲਗਾਹਿ ॥
hāth pashōrah sir dharan lagāh .
He wrings his hands, and hits his head against the ground.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਦਈ ਛੋਡੈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
nindak kau daī shōdai nāh .2.
The Lord does not forgive the slanderer. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ॥
har kā dās kish burā n māgai .
The Lord's slave does not wish anyone ill.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੁਖ ਸਾਂਗੈ ॥
nindak kau lāgai dukh sānhgai .
The slanderer suffers, as if stabbed by a spear.
ਬਗੁਲੇ ਜਿਉ ਰਹਿਆ ਪੰਖ ਪਸਾਰਿ ॥
bagulē jiu rahiā pankh pasār .
Like a crane, he spreads his feathers, to look like a swan.
ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਢਿਆ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
mukh tē bōliā tānh kadhiā bīchār .3.
When he speaks with his mouth, then he is exposed and driven out. ||3||
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਸੋਇ ॥
antarajāmī karatā sōi .
The Creator is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.
ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
har jan karai s nihachal hōi .
That person, whom the Lord makes His Own, becomes stable and steady.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥
har kā dās sāchā darabār .
The Lord's slave is true in the Court of the Lord.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਿਆ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੪੧॥੫੪॥
jan nānak kahiā tat bīchār .4.41.54.
Servant Nanak speaks, after contemplating the essence of reality. ||4||41||54||
ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
nindak kau phitakē sansār .
The entire universe curses the slanderer.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ॥
nindak kā jhūthā biuhār .
False are the dealings of the slanderer.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਮੈਲਾ ਆਚਾਰੁ ॥
nindak kā mailā āchār .
The slanderer's lifestyle is filthy and polluted.
ਦਾਸ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
dās apunē kau rākhanahār .1.
The Lord is the Saving Grace and the Protector of His slave. ||1||
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਮੁਆ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
nindak muā nindak kai nāl .
The slanderer dies with the rest of the slanderers.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਕੜਕਿਓ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, protects and saves His humble servant. Death roars and thunders over the head of the slanderer. ||1||Pause||
