ਸਰਬ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਣੇ ॥
sarab manōrath pūran karanē .
All the desires of my mind have been perfectly fulfilled.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗਾਵਤ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
āth pahar gāvat bhagavant .
Twenty-four hours a day, I sing of the Lord God.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੧॥
satigur dīnō pūrā mant .1.
The True Guru has imparted this perfect wisdom. ||1||
ਸੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
sō vadabhāgī jis nām piār .
Very fortunate are those who love the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tis kai sang tarai sansār .1. rahāu .
Associating with them, we cross over the world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋਈ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਿ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਏਕ ॥
sōī giānī j simarai ēk .
They are spiritual teachers, who meditate in remembrance on the One Lord.
ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥
sō dhanavantā jis budh bibēk .
Wealthy are those who have a discriminating intellect.
ਸੋ ਕੁਲਵੰਤਾ ਜਿ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
sō kulavantā j simarai suāmī .
Noble are those who remember their Lord and Master in meditation.
ਸੋ ਪਤਿਵੰਤਾ ਜਿ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
sō pativantā j āp pashānī .2.
Honorable are those who understand their own selves. ||2||
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
gur parasād param pad pāiā .
By Guru's Grace, I have obtained the supreme status.
ਗੁਣ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
gun gōpāl din rain dhiāiā .
Day and night I meditate on the Glories of God.
ਤੂਟੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ॥
tūtē bandhan pūran āsā .
My bonds are broken, and my hopes are fulfilled.
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਰਿਦ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥੩॥
har kē charan rid māh nivāsā .3.
The Feet of the Lord now abide in my heart. ||3||
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮਾ ॥
kah nānak jā kē pūran karamā .
Says Nanak, one whose karma is perfect
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਆਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥
sō jan āiā prabh kī saranā .
- that humble being enters the Sanctuary of God.
ਆਪਿ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਨ ਸਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
āp pavit pāvan sabh kīnē .
He himself is pure, and he sanctifies all.
ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਚੀਨ੍ਹੇ ॥੪॥੩੫॥੪੮॥
rām rasāin rasanā chīnhē .4.35.48.
His tongue chants the Name of the Lord, the Source of Nectar. ||4||35||48||
ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
bhairau mahalā 5 .
Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਰਣੇ ॥
man tan rātā rām rang charanē .
My mind and body are imbued with the Love of the Lord's Feet.
