Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
karan kāran samarath gur mērā .
My Guru is the All-powerful Lord, the Creator, the Cause of causes.
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਨੇਰਾ ॥
jī prān sukhadātā nērā .
He is the Soul, the Breath of Life, the Giver of Peace, always near.
ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰਾਇ ॥
bhai bhanjan abināsī rāi .
He is the Destroyer of fear, the Eternal, Unchanging, Sovereign Lord King.
ਦਰਸਨਿ ਦੇਖਿਐ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
darasan dēkhiai sabh dukh jāi .1.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all fear is dispelled. ||1||
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾ ॥
jat kat pēkhau tērī saranā .
Wherever I look, is the Protection of Your Sanctuary.
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bal bal jāī satigur charanā .1. rahāu .
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Feet of the True Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
pūran kām milē guradēv .
My tasks are perfectly accomplished, meeting the Divine Guru.
ਸਭਿ ਫਲਦਾਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥
sabh phaladātā niramal sēv .
He is the Giver of all rewards. Serving Him, I am immaculate.
ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ॥
kar gah līnē apunē dās .
He reaches out with His Hand to His slaves.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਦੀਓ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥੨॥
rām nām rid dīō nivās .2.
The Name of the Lord abides in their hearts. ||2||
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਸੋਗੁ ॥
sadā anand nāhī kish sōg .
They are forever in bliss, and do not suffer at all.
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਨਹ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥
dūkh darad nah biāpai rōg .
No pain, sorrow or disease afflicts them.
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ॥
sabh kish tērā tū karanaihār .
Everything is Yours, O Creator Lord.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੩॥
pārabraham gur agam apār .3.
The Guru is the Supreme Lord God, the Inaccessible and Infinite. ||3||
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਭਾ ਅਚਰਜ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
niramal sōbhā acharaj bānī .
His Glorious Grandeur is immaculate, and the Bani of His Word is wonderful!
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥
pārabraham pūran man bhānī .
The Perfect Supreme Lord God is pleasing to my mind.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸੋਇ ॥
jal thal mahīal raviā sōi .
He is permeating the waters, the lands and the skies.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੩੪॥੪੭॥
nānak sabh kish prabh tē hōi .4.34.47.
O Nanak, everything comes from God. ||4||34||47||
