ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:
ਨਿਰਧਨ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਧਨਾ ॥
niradhan kau tum dēvah dhanā .
You bless the poor with wealth, O Lord.
ਅਨਿਕ ਪਾਪ ਜਾਹਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮਨਾ ॥
anik pāp jāh niramal manā .
Countless sins are taken away, and the mind becomes immaculate and pure.
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ॥
sagal manōrath pūran kām .
All the mind's desires are fulfilled, and one's tasks are perfectly accomplished.
ਭਗਤ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਨਾਮ ॥੧॥
bhagat apunē kau dēvah nām .1.
You bestow Your Name upon Your devotee. ||1||
ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ॥
saphal sēvā gōpāl rāi .
Service to the Lord, our Sovereign King, is fruitful and rewarding.
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karan karāvanahār suāmī tā tē birathā kōi n jāi .1. rahāu .
Our Lord and Master is the Creator, the Cause of causes; no one is turned away from His Door empty-handed. ||1||Pause||
ਰੋਗੀ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਖੰਡਹੁ ਰੋਗੁ ॥
rōgī kā prabh khandah rōg .
God eradicates the disease from the diseased person.
ਦੁਖੀਏ ਕਾ ਮਿਟਾਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੋਗੁ ॥
dukhīē kā mitāvah prabh sōg .
God takes away the sorrows of the suffering.
ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ ਥਾਨਿ ਬੈਠਾਵਹੁ ॥
nithāvē kau tumh thān baithāvah .
And those who have no place at all - You seat them upon the place.
ਦਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ॥੨॥
dās apanē kau bhagatī lāvah .2.
You link Your slave to devotional worship. ||2||
ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਤੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
nimānē kau prabh dētō mān .
God bestows honor on the dishonored.
ਮੂੜ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਹੋਇ ਚਤੁਰ ਸੁਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
mūr mugadh hōi chatur sugiān .
He makes the foolish and ignorant become clever and wise.
ਸਗਲ ਭਇਆਨ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਨਸੈ ॥
sagal bhaiān kā bhau nasai .
The fear of all fear disappears.
ਜਨ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਬਸੈ ॥੩॥
jan apanē kai har man basai .3.
The Lord dwells within the mind of His humble servant. ||3||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੂਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
pārabraham prabh sūkh nidhān .
The Supreme Lord God is the Treasure of Peace.
ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ ॥
tat giān har anmrit nām .
The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is the essence of reality.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲੈ ਲਾਏ ॥
kar kirapā sant tahalai lāē .
Granting His Grace, He enjoins the mortals to serve the Saints.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੩੬॥
nānak sādhū sang samāē .4.23.36.
O Nanak, such a person merges in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||4||23||36||
