ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਬੇਦ ਅਰੁ ਨਾਦ ॥
nām hamārai bēd ar nād .
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is for me the Vedas and the Sound-current of the Naad.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਾਜ ॥
nām hamārai pūrē kāj .
Through the Naam, my tasks are perfectly accomplished.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਪੂਜਾ ਦੇਵ ॥
nām hamārai pūjā dēv .
The Naam is my worship of deities.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥
nām hamārai gur kī sēv .1.
The Naam is my service to the Guru. ||1||
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
gur pūrai dririō har nām .
The Perfect Guru has implanted the Naam within me.
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਤਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sabh tē ūtam har har kām .1. rahāu .
The highest task of all is the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਮਜਨ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ॥
nām hamārai majan isanān .
The Naam is my cleansing bath and purification.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
nām hamārai pūran dān .
The Naam is my perfect donation of charity.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਤੇ ਸਗਲ ਪਵੀਤ ॥
nām lait tē sagal pavīt .
Those who repeat the Naam are totally purified.
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤ ॥੨॥
nām japat mērē bhāī mīt .2.
Those who chant the Naam are my friends and Siblings of Destiny. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਸਉਣ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥
nām hamārai saun sanjōg .
The Naam is my auspicious omen and good fortune.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁਭੋਗ ॥
nām hamārai tripat subhōg .
The Naam is the sublime food which satisfies me.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਸਗਲ ਆਚਾਰ ॥
nām hamārai sagal āchār .
The Naam is my good conduct.
ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ॥੩॥
nām hamārai niramal biuhār .3.
The Naam is my immaculate occupation. ||3||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ॥
jā kai man vasiā prabh ēk .
All those humble beings whose minds are filled with the One God
ਸਗਲ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕ ॥
sagal janā kī har har tēk .
have the Support of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
man tan nānak har gun gāu .
O Nanak, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord with your mind and body.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਨਾਉ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੩੫॥
sādhasang jis dēvai nāu .4.22.35.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Lord bestows His Name. ||4||22||35||
