ਜਿਸੁ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲਏ ਸੋ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
jis lar lāi laē sō lāgai .
He alone is attached to the hem of the Lord's robe, whom the Lord Himself attaches.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥
janam janam kā sōiā jāgai .3.
Asleep for countless incarnations, he now awakens. ||3||
ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਆਪਿ ॥
tērē bhagat bhagatan kā āp .
Your devotees belong to You, and You belong to Your devotees.
ਅਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
apanī mahimā āpē jāp .
You Yourself inspire them to chant Your Praises.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਹਾਥਿ ॥
jī jant sabh tērai hāth .
All beings and creatures are in Your Hands.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੯॥
nānak kē prabh sad hī sāth .4.16.29.
Nanak's God is always with him. ||4||16||29||
ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
bhairau mahalā 5 .
Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:
ਅਪਣੀ ਦਇਆ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥
apanī daiā karē sō pāē .
He alone obtains it, unto whom the Lord shows Mercy.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
har kā nām mann vasāē .
He enshrines the Name of the Lord in his mind.
ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦੁ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sāch sabad hiradē man māh .
With the True Word of the Shabad in his heart and mind,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
janam janam kē kilavikh jāh .1.
the sins of countless incarnations vanish. ||1||
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
rām nām jī kō ādhār .
The Lord's Name is the Support of the soul.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਪਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਤਾਰਿ ਲਏ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur parasād japah nit bhāī tār laē sāgar sansār .1. rahāu .
By Guru's Grace, chant the Name continually, O Siblings of Destiny; It shall carry you across the world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਏਹੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
jin kau likhiā har ēh nidhān .
Those who have this treasure of the Lord's Name written in their destiny,
ਸੇ ਜਨ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
sē jan daragah pāvah mān .
those humble beings are honored in the Court of the Lord.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
sūkh sahaj ānand gun gāu .
Singing His Glorious Praises with peace, poise and bliss,
ਆਗੈ ਮਿਲੈ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥
āgai milai nithāvē thāu .2.
even the homeless obtain a home hereafter. ||2||
ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗੰਤਰਿ ਇਹੁ ਤਤੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
jugah jugantar ih tat sār .
Throughout the ages, this has been the essence of reality.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਣੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
har simaran sāchā bīchār .
Meditate in remembrance on the Lord, and contemplate the Truth.
