ਰੋਗ ਬੰਧ ਰਹਨੁ ਰਤੀ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
rōg bandh rahan ratī n pāvai .
Entangled in disease, they cannot stay still, even for an instant.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਰੋਗੁ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
bin satigur rōg katah n jāvai .3.
Without the True Guru, the disease is never cured. ||3||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਇਆ ॥
pārabraham jis kīnī daiā .
When the Supreme Lord God grants His Mercy,
ਬਾਹ ਪਕੜਿ ਰੋਗਹੁ ਕਢਿ ਲਇਆ ॥
bāh pakar rōgah kadh laiā .
He grabs hold of the mortal's arm, and pulls him up and out of the disease.
ਤੂਟੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
tūtē bandhan sādhasang pāiā .
Reaching the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the mortal's bonds are broken.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੭॥੨੦॥
kah nānak gur rōg mitāiā .4.7.20.
Says Nanak, the Guru cures him of the disease. ||4||7||20||

Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:
ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਕਉ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
haumai rōg mānukh kau dīnā .
Mankind is afflicted with the disease of egotism.
ਕਾਮ ਰੋਗਿ ਮੈਗਲੁ ਬਸਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
kām rōg maigal bas līnā .
The disease of sexual desire overwhelms the elephant.
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਰੋਗਿ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਏ ਪਤੰਗਾ ॥
drisat rōg pach muē patangā .
Because of the disease of vision, the moth is burnt to death.
ਨਾਦ ਰੋਗਿ ਖਪਿ ਗਏ ਕੁਰੰਗਾ ॥੧॥
nād rōg khap gaē kurangā .1.
Because of the disease of the sound of the bell, the deer is lured to its death. ||1||
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਰੋਗੀ ॥
jō jō dīsai sō sō rōgī .
Whoever I see is diseased.
ਰੋਗ ਰਹਿਤ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਜੋਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rōg rahit mērā satigur jōgī .1. rahāu .
Only my True Guru, the True Yogi, is free of disease. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਹਵਾ ਰੋਗਿ ਮੀਨੁ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਆਨੋ ॥
jihavā rōg mīn grasiānō .
Because of the disease of taste, the fish is caught.
ਬਾਸਨ ਰੋਗਿ ਭਵਰੁ ਬਿਨਸਾਨੋ ॥
bāsan rōg bhavar binasānō .
Because of the disease of smell, the bumble bee is destroyed.
ਹੇਤ ਰੋਗ ਕਾ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
hēt rōg kā sagal sansārā .
The whole world is caught in the disease of attachment.
ਤ੍ਰਿਬਿਧਿ ਰੋਗ ਮਹਿ ਬਧੇ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
tribidh rōg mah badhē bikārā .2.
In the disease of the three qualities, corruption is multiplied. ||2||
ਰੋਗੇ ਮਰਤਾ ਰੋਗੇ ਜਨਮੈ ॥
rōgē maratā rōgē janamai .
In disease the mortals die, and in disease they are born.
ਰੋਗੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮੈ ॥
rōgē phir phir jōnī bharamai .
In disease they wander in reincarnation again and again.
