ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Bhairao, Fourth Mehl:
ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਰੁ ਜਪਮਾਲੀ ॥
sukrit karanī sār japamālī .
To do good deeds is the best rosary.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਫੇਰਿ ਚਲੈ ਤੁਧੁ ਨਾਲੀ ॥੧॥
hiradai phēr chalai tudh nālī .1.
Chant on the beads within your heart, and it shall go along with you. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਬਨਵਾਲੀ ॥
har har nām japah banavālī .
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Lord of the forest.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੂਟਿ ਗਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਮ ਜਾਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kar kirapā mēlah satasangat tūt gaī māiā jam jālī .1. rahāu .
Have mercy on me, Lord, and unite me with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, so that I may be released from Maya's noose of death. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਘਾਲਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਘਾਲੀ ॥
guramukh sēvā ghāl jin ghālī .
Whoever, as Gurmukh, serves and works hard,
ਤਿਸੁ ਘੜੀਐ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੀ ਟਕਸਾਲੀ ॥੨॥
tis gharīai sabad sachī takasālī .2.
is molded and shaped in the true mint of the Shabad, the Word of God. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਦਿਖਾਲੀ ॥
har agam agōchar gur agam dikhālī .
The Guru has revealed to me the Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord.
ਵਿਚਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰ ਲਧਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਲੀ ॥੩॥
vich kāiā nagar ladhā har bhālī .3.
Searching within the body-village, I have found the Lord. ||3||
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੀ ॥
ham bārik har pitā pratipālī .
I am just a child; the Lord is my Father, who nurtures and cherishes me.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾਰਹੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੀ ॥੪॥੩॥
jan nānak tārah nadar nihālī .4.3.
Please save servant Nanak, Lord; bless him with Your Glance of Grace. ||4||3||
