Dakhanay, Fifth Mehl:
ਜਾ ਮੂ ਪਸੀ ਹਠ ਮੈ ਪਿਰੀ ਮਹਿਜੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
jā mū pasī hath mai pirī mahijai nāl .
When I look within my being, I find that my Beloved is with me.
ਹਭੇ ਡੁਖ ਉਲਾਹਿਅਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥੧॥
habhē dukh ulāhiam nānak nadar nihāl .1.
All pains are relieved, O Nanak, when He bestows His Glance of Grace. ||1||

mah 5 .
Fifth Mehl:
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੈਠਾ ਭਖੇ ਵਾਉ ਲੰਮੇ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਦਰੁ ਖੜਾ ॥
nānak baithā bhakhē vāu lanmē sēvah dar kharā .
Nanak sits, waiting for news of the Lord, and stands at the Lord's Door; serving Him for so long.
ਪਿਰੀਏ ਤੂ ਜਾਣੁ ਮਹਿਜਾ ਸਾਉ ਜੋਈ ਸਾਈ ਮੁਹੁ ਖੜਾ ॥੨॥
pirīē tū jān mahijā sāu jōī sāī muh kharā .2.
O my Beloved, only You know my objective; I stand, waiting to see the Lord's face. ||2||

Fifth Mehl:
ਕਿਆ ਗਾਲਾਇਓ ਭੂਛ ਪਰ ਵੇਲਿ ਨ ਜੋਹੇ ਕੰਤ ਤੂ ॥
kiā gālāiō bhūsh par vēl n jōhē kant tū .
What should I say to you, you fool? Don't look at the vines of others - be a true husband.
ਨਾਨਕ ਫੁਲਾ ਸੰਦੀ ਵਾੜਿ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਹਭੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਜਿਉ ॥੩॥
nānak phulā sandī vār khiriā habh sansār jiu .3.
O Nanak, the entire world is blooming, like a garden of flowers. ||3||

Pauree:
ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਤੂ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਤੰਤਾ ॥
sughar sujān sarūp tū sabh mah varatantā .
You are Wise, all-knowing and beautiful; You are pervading and permeating all.
ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਆਪੇ ਪੂਜੰਤਾ ॥
tū āpē thākur sēvakō āpē pūjantā .
You Yourself are the Lord and Master, and the servant; You worship and adore Yourself.
ਦਾਨਾ ਬੀਨਾ ਆਪਿ ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਸਤਵੰਤਾ ॥
dānā bīnā āp tū āpē satavantā .
You are all-wise and all-seeing; You Yourself are true and pure.
ਜਤੀ ਸਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਵੰਤਾ ॥
jatī satī prabh niramalā mērē har bhagavantā .
The Immaculate Lord, my Lord God, is celibate and True.
ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਸਾਰੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਓ ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲੰਤਾ ॥
sabh braham pasār pasāriō āpē khēlantā .
God spreads out the expanse of the entire universe, and He Himself plays in it.
ਇਹੁ ਆਵਾ ਗਵਣੁ ਰਚਾਇਓ ਕਰਿ ਚੋਜ ਦੇਖੰਤਾ ॥
ih āvā gavan rachāiō kar chōj dēkhantā .
He created this coming and going of reincarnation; creating the wondrous play, He gazes upon it.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਗਰਭਿ ਨ ਪਾਵਹੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤਾ ॥
tis bāhur garabh n pāvahī jis dēvah gur mantā .
One who is blessed with the Guru's Teachings, is not consigned to the womb of reincarnation, ever again.
ਜਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਚਲਦੇ ਕਿਛੁ ਵਸਿ ਨ ਜੰਤਾ ॥੪॥
jiu āp chalāvah tiu chaladē kish vas n jantā .4.
All walk as He makes them walk; nothing is under the control of the created beings. ||4||
