ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਖੰਡ ਦੀਪ ਸਭਿ ਲੋਆ ॥
simarah khand dīp sabh lōā .
All the continents, islands and worlds meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਪੁਰੀਆ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਆ ॥
simarah pātāl purīā sach sōā .
The nether worlds and spheres meditate in remembrance on that True Lord.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਊਤਮ ਜੋ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਮਨਾ ॥੧੬॥੧॥੮॥
kah nānak sēī jan ūtam jō bhāvah suāmī tum manā .16.1.8.
Says Nanak, those humble beings are exalted, who are pleasing to Your Mind, O my Lord and Master. ||16||1||8||
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਖਾਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਨਾ ॥੨॥
simarah khānī simarah bānī simarah sagalē har janā .2.
The sources of creation and speech meditate in remembrance; all the Lord's humble servants meditate in remembrance. ||2||
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਬਿਸਨ ਮਹੇਸਾ ॥
simarah brahamē bisan mahēsā .
Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕੋੜਿ ਤੇਤੀਸਾ ॥
simarah dēvatē kōr tētīsā .
The three hundred thirty million gods meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਜਖ੍ਯਿ ਦੈਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਅਗਨਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਜਸੁ ਗਨਾ ॥੩॥
simarah jakhy dait sabh simarah aganat n jāī jas ganā .3.
The titans and demons all meditate in remembrance; Your Praises are uncountable - they cannot be counted. ||3||
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪਸੁ ਪੰਖੀ ਸਭਿ ਭੂਤਾ ॥
simarah pas pankhī sabh bhūtā .
All the beasts, birds and demons meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਬਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਅਉਧੂਤਾ ॥
simarah ban parabat audhūtā .
The forests, mountains and hermits meditate in remembrance.
ਲਤਾ ਬਲੀ ਸਾਖ ਸਭ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭ ਮਨਾ ॥੪॥
latā balī sākh sabh simarah rav rahiā suāmī sabh manā .4.
All the vines and branches meditate in remembrance; O my Lord and Master, You are permeating and pervading all minds. ||4||
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਥੂਲ ਸੂਖਮ ਸਭਿ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
simarah thūl sūkham sabh jantā .
All beings, both subtle and gross, meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤਾ ॥
simarah sidh sādhik har mantā .
The Siddhas and seekers meditate in remembrance on the Lord's Mantra.
ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਨਾ ॥੫॥
gupat pragat simarah prabh mērē sagal bhavan kā prabh dhanā .5.
Both the visible and the invisible meditate in remembrance on my God; God is the Master of all worlds. ||5||
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਆਸਰਮਾ ॥
simarah nar nārī āsaramā .
Men and women, throughout the four stages of life, meditate in remembrance on You.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਵਰਨਾ ॥
simarah jāt jōt sabh varanā .
All social classes and souls of all races meditate in remembrance on You.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਚਤੁਰ ਸਭਿ ਬੇਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਰੈਣੀ ਅਰੁ ਦਿਨਾ ॥੬॥
simarah gunī chatur sabh bētē simarah rainī ar dinā .6.
All the virtuous, clever and wise people meditate in remembrance; night and day meditate in remembrance. ||6||
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਘੜੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਪਲ ਨਿਮਖਾ ॥
simarah gharī mūrat pal nimakhā .
Hours, minutes and seconds meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰੈ ਕਾਲੁ ਅਕਾਲੁ ਸੁਚਿ ਸੋਚਾ ॥
simarai kāl akāl such sōchā .
Death and life, and thoughts of purification, meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਉਣ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨਾ ॥੭॥
simarah saun sāsatr sanjōgā alakh n lakhīai ik khinā .7.
The Shaastras, with their lucky signs and joinings, meditate in remembrance; the invisible cannot be seen, even for an instant. ||7||
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
karan karāvanahār suāmī .
The Lord and Master is the Doer, the Cause of causes.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
sagal ghatā kē antarajāmī .
He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਸੋ ਜਿਨਾ ॥੮॥
kar kirapā jis bhagatī lāvah janam padārath sō jinā .8.
That person, whom You bless with Your Grace, and link to Your devotional service, wins this invaluable human life. ||8||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
jā kai man vūthā prabh apanā .
He, within whose mind God dwells,
ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥
pūrai karam gur kā jap japanā .
has perfect karma, and chants the Chant of the Guru.
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਰੁਨਾ ॥੯॥
sarab nirantar sō prabh jātā bahur n jōnī bharam runā .9.
One who realizes God pervading deep within all, does not wander crying in reincarnation again. ||9||
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ॥ ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਭਾਗੈ ॥
gur kā sabad vasai man jā kai . dūkh darad bhram tā kā bhāgai .
Pain, sorrow and doubt run away from that one, within whose mind the Word of the Guru's Shabad abides.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਾ ॥੧੦॥
sūkh sahaj ānand nām ras anahad bānī sahaj dhunā .10.
Intuitive peace, poise and bliss come from the sublime essence of the Naam; the unstruck sound current of the Guru's Bani intuitively vibrates and resounds. ||10||
ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
sō dhanavantā jin prabh dhiāiā .
He alone is wealthy, who meditates on God.
ਸੋ ਪਤਿਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
sō pativantā jin sādhasang pāiā .
He alone is honorable, who joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਸੋ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਨਾ ਛਿਨਾ ॥੧੧॥
pārabraham jā kai man vūthā sō pūr karanmā nā shinā .11.
That person, within whose mind the Supreme Lord God abides, has perfect karma, and becomes famous. ||11||
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋਈ ॥
jal thal mahīal suāmī sōī .
The Lord and Master is pervading the water, land and sky.
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਹੀਐ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥
avar n kahīai dūjā kōī .
There is no other said to be so.
ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨਿ ਕਾਟਿਓ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ॥੧੨॥
gur giān anjan kātiō bhram sagalā avar n dīsai ēk binā .12.
The ointment of the Guru's spiritual wisdom has eradicated all doubts; except the One Lord, I do not see any other at all. ||12||
ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
ūchē tē ūchā darabārā .
The Lord's Court is the highest of the high.
ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾ ॥
kahan n jāī ant n pārā .
His limit and extent cannot be described.
ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕਿਆ ਮਿਨਾ ॥੧੩॥
gahir ganbhīr athāh suāmī atul n jāī kiā minā .13.
The Lord and Master is profoundly deep, unfathomable and unweighable; how can He be measured? ||13||
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
tū karatā tērā sabh kīā .
You are the Creator; all is created by You.
ਤੁਝੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਆ ॥
tujh bin avar n kōī bīā .
Without You, there is no other at all.
ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਤੁਮ ਤਨਾ ॥੧੪॥
ād madh ant prabh tūhai sagal pasārā tum tanā .14.
You alone, God, are in the beginning, the middle and the end. You are the root of the entire expanse. ||14||

ਜਮਦੂਤੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
jamadūt tis nikat n āvai .
The Messenger of Death does not even approach that person
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
sādhasang har kīratan gāvai .
who sings the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਨਾ ॥੧੫॥
sagal manōrath tā kē pūran jō sravanī prabh kā jas sunā .15.
All desires are fulfilled, for one who listens with his ears to the Praises of God. ||15||
ਸਿਮਰੈ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਰੁ ਆਕਾਸਾ ॥
simarai dharatī ar ākāsā .
The earth and the Akaashic ethers meditate in remembrance.
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰਜ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ ॥
simarah chand sūraj gunatāsā .
The moon and the sun meditate in remembrance on You, O treasure of virtue.
ਪਉਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਬੈਸੰਤਰ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਸਗਲ ਉਪਾਰਜਨਾ ॥੧॥
paun pānī baisantar simarah simarai sagal upārajanā .1.
Air, water and fire meditate in remembrance. All creation meditates in remembrance. ||1||
ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰਾ ॥
tū sabhanā kā sabh kō tērā . sāchē sāhib gahir ganbhīrā .
You belong to all, and all belong to You, O my true, deep and profound Lord and Master.
