ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik ōunkār satigur prasād .
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਰਾਮ ਹਉ ਕਿਆ ਜਾਨਾ ਕਿਆ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
rām hau kiā jānā kiā bhāvai .
O Lord, how can I know what pleases You?
ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਸ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦਰਸਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man piās bahut darasāvai .1. rahāu .
Within my mind is such a great thirst for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋਈ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਰੁਚ ਆਵੈ ॥
sōī giānī sōī jan tērā jis ūpar ruch āvai .
He alone is a spiritual teacher, and he alone is Your humble servant, to whom You have given Your approval.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਸੋ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
kripā karah jis purakh bidhātē sō sadā sadā tudh dhiāvai .1.
He alone meditates on You forever and ever, O Primal Lord, O Architect of Destiny, unto whom You grant Your Grace. ||1||
ਕਵਨ ਜੋਗ ਕਵਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨਾ ਕਵਨ ਗੁਨੀ ਰੀਝਾਵੈ ॥
kavan jōg kavan giān dhiānā kavan gunī rījhāvai .
What sort of Yoga, what spiritual wisdom and meditation, and what virtues please You?
ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਜ ਭਗਤਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
sōī jan sōī nij bhagatā jis ūpar rang lāvai .2.
He alone is a humble servant, and he alone is God's own devotee, with whom You are in love. ||2||
ਸਾਈ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਜਿਤੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਿਸਰਾਵੈ ॥
sāī mat sāī budh siānap jit nimakh n prabh bisarāvai .
That alone is intelligence, that alone is wisdom and cleverness, which inspires one to never forget God, even for an instant.
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਲਗਿ ਏਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
santasang lag ēh sukh pāiō har gun sad hī gāvai .3.
Joining the Society of the Saints, I have found this peace, singing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||
ਦੇਖਿਓ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਮਹਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਰੂਪ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਨ ਨਹੀ ਦਿਸਟਾਵੈ ॥
dēkhiō acharaj mahā mangal rūp kish ān nahī disatāvai .
I have seen the Wondrous Lord, the embodiment of supreme bliss, and now, I see nothing else at all.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਲਾਹਿਓ ਤਹ ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨਿ ਕਹ ਆਵੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
kah nānak mōrachā gur lāhiō tah garabh jōn kah āvai .4.1.
Says Nanak, the Guru has rubbed sway the rust; now how could I ever enter the womb of reincarnation again? ||4||1||
