Nat, Fourth Mehl:
ਮਨ ਮਿਲੁ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੁਭਵੰਤੀ ॥
man mil santasangat subhavantī .
O mind, join the Society of the Saints, and become noble and exalted.
ਸੁਨਿ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਖਵੰਤੀ ॥
sun akath kathā sukhavantī .
Listen to the Unspoken Speech of the peace-giving Lord.
ਸਭ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਲਹੰਤੀ ॥
sabh kilavikh pāp lahantī .
All sins will be washed away.
ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਲਿਖੰਤੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har hō hō hō likhat likhantī .1. rahāu .
Meet with the Lord, according to your pre-ordained destiny. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਵਿਚਿ ਊਤਮ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕਥਾ ਭਜੰਤੀ ॥
har kīrat kalajug vich ūtam mat guramat kathā bhajantī .
In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is lofty and exalted. Following the Guru's Teachings, the intellect dwells on the sermon of the Lord.
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਮਨੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੰਤੀ ॥੧॥
jin jan sunī manī hai jin jan tis jan kai hau kurabānantī .1.
I am a sacrifice to that person who listens and believes. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਕਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਸਭ ਭੂਖ ਲਹੰਤੀ ॥
har akath kathā kā jin ras chākhiā tis jan sabh bhūkh lahantī .
One who tastes the sublime essence of the Unspoken Speech of the Lord - all his hunger is satisfied.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਵੰਤੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੮॥
nānak jan har kathā sun tripatē jap har har har hōvantī .2.2.8.
Servant Nanak listens to the sermon of the Lord, and is satisfied; chanting the Lord's Name, Har, Har, Har, he has become like the Lord. ||2||2||8||
