ਪੀਵਤ ਅਮਰ ਭਏ ਨਿਹਕਾਮ ॥
pīvat amar bhaē nihakām .
Drinking it in, one becomes immortal and free of desire.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਅਗਨਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥
tan man sītal agan nivārī .
The body and mind are cooled and soothed, and the fire is extinguished.
ਅਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
anad rūp pragatē sansārī .2.
Such a being is the embodiment of bliss, famous throughout the world. ||2||
ਕਿਆ ਦੇਵਉ ਜਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
kiā dēvau jā sabh kish tērā .
What can I offer You, Lord? Everything belongs to You.
ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਲਖ ਬੇਰਾ ॥
sad balihār jāu lakh bērā .
I am forever a sacrifice to You, hundreds of thousands of times.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਦੇ ਸਾਜਿਆ ॥
tan man jīu pind dē sājiā .
You blessed me, and fashioned my body, mind and soul.
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਨੀਚੁ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ॥੩॥
gur kirapā tē nīch nivājiā .3.
By Guru's Grace, this lowly being was exalted. ||3||
ਖੋਲਿ ਕਿਵਾਰਾ ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥
khōl kivārā mahal bulāiā .
Opening the door, You summoned me to the Mansion of Your Presence.
ਜੈਸਾ ਸਾ ਤੈਸਾ ਦਿਖਲਾਇਆ ॥
jaisā sā taisā dikhalāiā .
As You are, so You have revealed Yourself to me.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭੁ ਪੜਦਾ ਤੂਟਾ ॥
kah nānak sabh paradā tūtā .
Says Nanak, the screen is totally torn away;
ਹਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੪॥
hau tērā tū mai man vūthā .4.3.14.
I am Yours, and You are enshrined within my mind. ||4||3||14||
ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
rāmakalī mahalā 5 .
Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸੋਈ ॥
karan karāvan sōī .
He is the Creator, the Cause of causes;
ਆਨ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਕੋਈ ॥
ān n dīsai kōī .
I do not see any other at all.
ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ॥
thākur mērā sughar sujānā .
My Lord and Master is wise and all-knowing.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
guramukh miliā rang mānā .1.
Meeting with the Gurmukh, I enjoy His Love. ||1||
ਐਸੋ ਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
aisō rē har ras mīthā .
Such is the sweet, subtle essence of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
guramukh kinai viralai dīthā .1. rahāu .
How rare are those who, as Gurmukh, taste it. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੋਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥
niramal jōt anmrit har nām .
The Light of the Ambrosial Name of the Lord is immaculate and pure.
