Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
ਪਵਹੁ ਚਰਣਾ ਤਲਿ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਵਹੁ ਐਸੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹੁ ॥
pavah charanā tal ūpar āvah aisī sēv kamāvah .
Place yourself beneath all men's feet, and you will be uplifted; serve Him in this way.
ਆਪਸ ਤੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਸਭ ਜਾਣਹੁ ਤਉ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥
āpas tē ūpar sabh jānah tau daragah sukh pāvah .1.
Know that all are above you, and you shall find peace in the Court of the Lord. ||1||
ਸੰਤਹੁ ਐਸੀ ਕਥਹੁ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥ ਸੁਰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਰ ਦੇਵ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਖਿਨੁ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
santah aisī kathah kahānī . sur pavitr nar dēv pavitrā khin bōlah guramukh bānī .1. rahāu .
O Saints, speak that speech which purifies the gods and sanctifies the divine beings. As Gurmukh, chant the Word of His Bani, even for an instant. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਸਹਜ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਸਹੁ ਝੂਠਾ ਕਹਹੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
parapanch shōd sahaj ghar baisah jhūthā kahah n kōī .
Renounce your fraudulent plans, and dwell in the celestial palace; do not call anyone else false.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਨਵੈ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਤੁ ਬਿਲੋਈ ॥੨॥
satigur milah navai nidh pāvah in bidh tat bilōī .2.
Meeting with the True Guru, you shall receive the nine treasures; in this way, you shall find the essence of reality. ||2||
ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਆਤਮੁ ਚੀਨਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
bharam chukāvah guramukh liv lāvah ātam chīnah bhāī .
Eradicate doubt, and as Gurmukh, enshrine love for the Lord; understand your own soul, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਾਜਰੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਬੁਰਾਈ ॥੩॥
nikat kar jānah sadā prabh hājar kis siu karah burāī .3.
Know that God is near at hand, and ever-present. How could you try to hurt anyone else? ||3||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
satigur miliai mārag mukatā sahajē milē suāmī .
Meeting with the True Guru, your path shall be clear, and you shall easily meet your Lord and Master.
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਜਿਨੀ ਕਲਿ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
dhan dhan sē jan jinī kal mah har pāiā jan nānak sad kurabānī .4.2.
Blessed, blessed are those humble beings, who, in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, find the Lord. Nanak is forever a sacrifice to them. ||4||2||
